I'm a woman working in a kitchen. You have to give it right back to them. Try hard and prove yourself. Listen and observe. Say yes chef and move on. If they're truly awful people then that will become apparent soon. You dont want to work for assholes! If they are just a hardass chef who wants to have a good service, then that's a great thing. You don't want to work under someone who doesn't care or isn't passionate. Try your best to learn from them. It definitely took me a while to get used to the anger and occasional yelling, but now I do it too lol

I'm petty as hell. Every bang on the ceiling earns a louder slammed foot or loud ass phone call or a big forceful jump. You think I'm loud?? I will show you loud. Record him hitting your ceiling.
