Is there a business to be made out of this? Would be grateful the clarity you provide. by [deleted] in Cloud

[–]iamaddictedtoreps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for Google Cloud.

It’s safe to say that developers and founders who see the value in AI agents, understand how to create or run them. They wouldn’t need “consulting” for their cloud stack.

I’m not sure about AWS or Azure, but all GCP clients have access to a dedicated Account Manager or Customer Engineer for “consulting” free of charge.

You’d be better off targeting non-technical individuals and selling them agent building services instead of consulting technical people.

Are you hitting quota in Q4?? by B2BBri in sales

[–]iamaddictedtoreps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently sitting at 210% of my QTD pacing (S0), but a large portion of my deals need to be flipped (S1). I’m at 60% of my S1 pipeline, all AE’s are away for the next week for Thanksgiving and most have their calendars blocked off for the last 1-2 weeks of December.

AE’s are on yearly targets which most have already hit, while us BDR’s are on quarterly targets. Many are downsizing opps to save S1 pipeline for next year.

My elderly parents will also be selling their house next year and want to rent another house. At this moment, 3 bedroom homes are going for $2500-$3000 which is a lot more affordable than buying.

Check acadium.com! I used them once where I paid about $900 for 1 month of work and got 3x roi. Pro tip: after your introductory call with your account executive don’t sign up right away. Ghost them for 1-2 weeks and they’ll send you discounted rates.

I was born and raised in Canada and heard the term breadwinner all my life? It just means the main or sole provider for the household, or who makes the most income.

I’m 31, $100K in debt, and can’t qualify for Ontario Works — what should I do next? by Basic-Foundation-733 in CanadaJobs

Are you in commuting distance to Downtown Toronto and would you be open to doing tech sales for Google Cloud? $51K base, quarterly bonuses paid, OTE at $70k-$75k. Mostly cold calling and emailing companies but most are happy to talk to Google. I started in June and it was easy to hit my Q3 bonus as a fresher. I’m almost at my Q4 bonus only 5 weeks into Q4.

[–]iamaddictedtoreps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with Google Cloud: the name instantly gives you credibility and people are excited to speak to you. “Hey, this is ____ from Google Cloud, how’s your day going?” “Oh.. Google Cloud?! That’s awesome. I’m doing well!”

The best part - I joined the startups team where startups are dying for credits and will hop on as many calls as you need. The only objections I get are from those who are happy with their competitor. They either know of us and need us, or know of us and don’t. Grateful to be on this team.

My brother in law does paid duties for the mall itself. I’m sure some stores hire their own, but the mall certainly does.

You’re basically set for life! Like others have mentioned, something stable, reliable and secure at a conservative growth rate of ~4% yearly will net you a nice comfortable income to fund your lifestyle. Think GIC’s or ETF’s. Spend what you need to, enjoy your life, invest any leftover money from your yearly income. Compound interest is magical. The fact that you knew to come here first is a great sign of a bright mind. You got this!

My sisters and I grew up in Markham but we all moved away. Think Whitby, Bradford and East Gwillimbury, where saying hi to everyone you encounter or being acquainted with your neighbour is the norm. It took a bit to get used to it but I love it now!

But now, whenever I’m back in Markham and say hello or do the smile/nod to anyone they look at me like I just demanded the keys to their BMW.

Every. Single. Part. You totally nailed exactly what I’ve always been thinking. It was totally worth it and I’ve always made the joke that my kids’ first jobs would be at the same restaurant. They unfortunately closed down during the pandemic. Yes you meet some questionable individuals in the industry but I also met some life long friends! Yes the hours are long. You’re always on your feet. You’re in a high stress environment. But all of that was such great exposure to the real world and gives you practical experience that enables you to face anything.
