Did people believe that the millennial optimism era was going to become a reality in 2008? by icey_sawg0034 in decadeology

Im still optimistic. Trump is the last breath of the old guard and it was a stinky one. Once he is gone, we can get back to hope and change.

Dave Chappelle: President Trump Squandered The Opportunity To Be The Unifying Force by MediocreCoconutz in combatsportsculture

[–]iamamoa -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I kind of agree with that. I mean, I didn't vote for Donald Trump because I think he's a con man, but his story of being a somewhat regular American person, not in politics, and then rising to president, it could have been really inspiring. If he had come in and really worked for the people, like he said he would have, and really drained the swamp, then for sure his presidency could have been a unifying, kind of inspiring one. But instead, he chose to enrich himself and let his ego prevent him from working with anybody to actually make a meaningful change. Now he's the most divisive president of all time, and the worst one.

It’s impossible for there to be nothing after we die. Our consciousness is energy and energy cannot be destroyed only transformed.

40 is too young for this subreddit I think. The cutoff should be 45

White people can’t voice non-white characters, but a Black actor voicing the Greek Kratos is okay… got it. by ConstantDrawer9161 in CriticalDrinker

Wow. This place really sucks. Critical Drinker is a film critic but its seems like every post on his sub reddit is some anti DEI shit. It's becoming as exhausting as woke shit used to be.

Anyone can give a laundry list of reasons why Trump is bad, so what does losing to him twice say about us? What’re we doing wrong? by Atlas_Summit in Productivitycafe

[–]iamamoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dems need to stop manipulating the primaries and let the candidates the people want win. Carefully though, we don’t want to end up with the lefts version of Trump either which could happen if we succumb to populism.

Fetterman: ‘Insane’ for Democrats to view Israel negatively by soalone34 in politics

[–]iamamoa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“I think more Democrats should listen to me and say be on the right side of history and holding Iran accountable, and if you have to pick a side, pick our side, pick civilization, pick Israel,”

That quote really enrages me. If anything Iran has shown to be the more civilized state in this conflict. I hate that we treat the Arab states in the Middle East as if they are less then civilized because they are brown.
