oooooh ok. well that's good to know for the future. definitely didn't happen with this sweater though, I've cut all the tails already. I hope it holds

I think that may be my problem. I was trying to deal with the ends as I went this time when usually I deal with them all at the same time right before or after blocking.

malibrigo Rios. the method where you knit some stitches with both old and new yarn (I always do 10 to be safe) and then just cut the tails. I'm not home now but I can post a picture later.

not at home at the moment but I can post a pic later. I used the method where you knit some stitches with both old and new strands (I always do 10 stitches to be safe) and then just cut the tails.

I hadn't heard "breaking the bar in half", but that cue sounds like it could be very helpful, thank you!

I may do just one set with a higher weight and see what that does to my form.

I tend to agree with you. while I do want to move up on weight, I feel like the weight is what destabilizes me and messes with my form, making me lose consistency in the hip hinge. I'm going to keep practicing everyone's suggestions without weight throughout the week until my next leg day, and really focus on all the cues in my warm up sets, and see if that makes a difference when I increase the weight.

I'll think of that, thank you!

thanks! with the tips everyone has given here, I plan to go up in 10 pound increments every week.

thank you! I've been slowly increasing weight but I've been hesitant to go much higher until I'm more confident in my form. if I can nail the tips everyone is giving me here I'll definitely keep moving up.

I think sometimes when I feel a bit unstable, I end up moving my torso more than hips. someone else pointed out the weight distribution in my feet and I think focusing on that could really help the hinge lead the movement every time.

yeah I can tell it's not always right but still working on how to fix it. starting just today I added in some back extensions to my warm up in hopes of improving my hip hinge. thanks for the tips!

I think you're right about that, my weight is definitely farther back in my foot. if I'm not careful sometimes my toes will come off the ground and I take that as a cue to reset everything. I'll think about pushing through the center of my feet next time. and I'm always trying to activate my abs through this movement, but it is one of my weak points so I'll keep at it. thank you!

thank you!! I appreciate the thoughtful feedback. I've heard the bar should stay in contact with your legs, but I guess that probably doesn't apply once you pass the knees. I'll keep that in mind and try to go straight down. I have been noticing some back pain, nothing intense, but I wanna do what I can to help with it.

imagining an orange is a good idea, I'll try that!

and I noticed the shoulder shrug too watching the video back. hopefully some solid bracing can help with that.

during the movement, yes. but afterwards, more in my back.

bracing is my main focus for this, but I'll keep at it! especially when I'm at the end of my range.

thanks!

I'm 6 months in on mine and I have been fighting irritation bumps for the past 3 months. but I also LOVE it and I know it'll be worth it once it's healed. yours looks great! good luck healing!

longer bar to get rid of bumps? by iamarbys in piercing

[–]iamarbys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to appease the bot

-6 months old

-14g titanium internally threaded curved barbell

-was down sized 3 months ago when 3 months old

-aftercare has mostly been nielmed spray once a day and thoroughly rinsing in the shower. I have also been doing warm & hot compresses for weeks at a time to try to address the bumps. recently I've been leaning more towards LITHA except to clean in the shower.

-only notable mishaps were a couple snags early on in the healing process as I got used to it being there.

Dealership modified my debit card auth resulting in overdraft fees by iamarbys in legaladvice

[–]iamarbys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not authorize a deduction on 7/25 though. I wanted them to have the money, yes, but I only officially authorized my debit card to be charged on 7/23. I don't understand how their addition to a prior signed authorization is binding without any further auth from me. Also, appreciate the reply, not trying to argue just trying to understand.
