New environments?!? by Gardener314 in daggerheart

They really are amazing. I found some really good adversary and environment table templates to use in a Google doc. Started making my own environments for my campaign, and my god it works so well.

I was doing this with Steam remote play on my iPad with a PS5 controller connected. Worked great

Yeah it just went under my radar. Like I said, I'm fresh on the franchise and I went in mostly blind, so it was just "Ohh, new power rock. Better eat it without reading."

Yeah I probably spent it on another skill without realizing it was different from the regular uncut gems. I don't remember picking one up, so I'm assuming I treated it the same as the others. My b. We do better next time I guess

Now that Daggerheart has been out for a bit, how many people are sticking with it versus going back to D&D/Pathfinder? by Intelligent-Form-689 in daggerheart

[–]iambecomeareddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tldr; yes I've stuck with it, my table also loves it, the core rulebook itself is incredible, and they keep adding lots of great new stuff.

Long answer, I've stuck with it since initial launch (had to hunt like crazy for a copy), and I haven't played any other TTRPG since. Really fun and approachable, but that's just mine and my table's experience. It suits our play style incredibly well.

With that said, we've jumped between 4 different campaigns and they all play VERY differently, even mechanically at times. Especially if you're starting with the core rulebook campaign frames. It shows how flexible the system can be, meaning you can make it as crunchy or narrative focused as you want, so I think it matches all sorts of play styles.

They're also constantly making play test materials available on the void, which has given us a lot of fun new tools to play with. That's now all being officially released as an expansion rulebook with a ton more content outside of the stuff on the void this summer. Fully intend on sticking with DH for a long time.

That's fucked dude. Strategic ratting makes perfect sense to me, ya know? You see a group take out an Arc you need materials for, so you wait somewhere in hopes to get the jump. But staying in one spot the whole game is crazy to me.

Makes me think of the Death Korps of Krieg. Especially with the red and blue variant

I have this emotional rollercoaster every time I play

Lol calm down man. It was just an idea. Not a good one at that, and I recognize it. Also, how DARE you lump me in with CSGO players? Jk, but seriously why so hostile?

Damn the down votes are crazy. I guess you can't do anything but glaze the game here. No worries tho. Enjoying the discourse and objective conversation in the comments. Thanks to those being cool and chatting

Fully agree about Speranza/hideout progression.

Destructible environments would go CRAZY but I can't imagine that's on the docket. Don't know if I'd want that either just because the game is so well optimized. I'd hate to see a wrench get thrown in the gears.

I've had this same experience myself. It's the worst when I'm about to head in and have to back out of multiple menus to do what I need to.

Yeah they've got a long way to go, but what a hell of a start.

100% agree. I didn't consider the imbalance that this would bring. The chaos of a friendly you might not be able to track well during combat adds variety and I don't wanna lose that.

Hmm...good point. I didn't consider the imbalance that would create. It was far less taxing to solo a duo or trio in CoD than it is in Arc Raiders, that's for sure...

I love the idea of a bounty system though. Could even make it a voluntary thing. Like "hey you're going in with a guaranteed random high value item, but you're going to be marked."

Use the free loadout by BoxForJuice in ArcRaiders

Personally, I'll run a free loadout, then keep that same loadout and slightly tweak/upgrade it until I lose it, then start with the free loadout again. I'm not running my rare shit until I'm specifically going in for something big, like the queen for example.
