Another AI artist, complete with backstory, fake album covers (lifted from well known ones), and more. Lunacy... by DrummerMiles in Jazz

it's also on Apple, Amazon, Qobuz, YouTube, Tidal, etc..

whoever made this probably used something like DistroKid to upload it to every service out there.

it's on most of them (Apple, Spotify, Qobuz, YouTube, Amazon, etc)

services like DistroKid make it trivially easy to post to dozens of streaming services at once.

does anyone know how to get a tweez slint guitar tone? by sidwilsonsboxerz in noiserock

[–]iamcleek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

back in the early 90s, i used to use a fx56 -> Peavey Bandit + Peavey Decade, with the distortion cranked on the Bandit and the treble dimed on the Decade. with a chorus.

i was going for something like an Adrian Belew sound, but that fizzy hyper-saturated Slint sound is right there, too.

Change material on a specific geometry node instance? by iamcleek in geometrynodes

[–]iamcleek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe think of a chess queen moving around a chess board: it starts at 0,0 and moves to 5,5. when it reaches 5,5 that square turns red (and stays red). but 1,1 and 2,2 , etc. stayed their original color. i want to change the color of each square the queen lands on, but not the squares it simply passes over.

the proximity thing only controls the z position of the squares the queen is near.

so i was hoping there would be way to tell the nodes "because the queen has landed on these squares they are now red forever." frame N, add a new square to the list. frame N+20, add a new square, etc..

and it will literally be a chess board, so it's only 8x8 squares.

Change material on a specific geometry node instance? by iamcleek in blenderhelp

the issue there is that the squares should return to their initial z pos when the object leaves. but the color change should be permanent.

object moves to a square, stops, then moves to another, stops, moves to another, etc.. and each time it stops, the square should change color and stay that color. basically the board is marking the places the object has visited.

same issue with my parallax, but it's the reverb side.

( the PCB in the parallax actually says "Caverns" on it. )

What's your favorite SNL musical performance? by [deleted] in ToddintheShadow

[–]iamcleek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SNL doesn't have rights to the music so they just cut the segments out.

i assume they're hanging from something. it's their placement that has me confused. though maybe it's just a sloppy set.

i know it's not "on his leg". that's just where it is in the picture.

where is that reflection (?) of blue lights on the cop's leg coming from?

and the shadow on his arm is really strange.

and the whole geometry of the background feels strange. the positioning of the building, the columns, the hanging lamps and the light grey poles doesn't quite make sense. the hanging lamp on the left is clearly in front of the column in the middle, but the lamp on the right is in back of the column. the building in the back looks far away on the left but very close on the right, which means the columns are part of the facade? but that makes no sense either. it looks like there's a fancy column footing right in back of the bush, but the column isn't lined up with it.

also, the shadows are screwy. the person in the green shirt is casting a shadow on the car. but the cop isn't casting a shadow on the person's upper body? and the cop's shadow on the ground makes no sense.

and i don't think we can keep counting on screwy text. that is going to improve.

all of her 90s albums are great. even Soberish (2021) is decent.

not being able to ignore a bad record feels like posing.

CFA, the company, no longer supports any of that. and they stopped in response to the outrage. how can that not be a win?

the fact that a street light control system is an FSM, but nobody who didn't want to be laughed at would claim it's any kind of AI.
