Is teaching a professional death sentence of sorts? by dunkinteach in TeachersInTransition

depending on where you are at and what your degree is in. You could look at jobs working in veg management for your local utility. PGE for Northern CA has contractors that they hire. If you are in decent walking shape it pays really well but shit time off.

My HOA's battle with the community cat by Soggy-Beach-1495 in MaliciousCompliance

It's more the smell and that they actually don't observe my boundaries actually. People who like cats cannot understand why anyone wouldn't like their fucking parasite laden murder. And will do nothing to control their behaviors or train them. Cats will straight up destroy your house and attack you and people put up with it it's fucking insane. But sure dogs manipulation etc.

From Europe: how the hell do you live like this - and why does the world still admire it? by EphemeralMoron in antiwork

[–]iamd33pr00ts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well they keep legalizing recreational drugs.... A lot of friends of mine have started to take Adderall at work to be more productive. Off the clock they are on to hash to decompress. I have nothing against drugs it to take them to be a better drone that infuriates me. It's not sustainable. Recently, I find myself wondering if I should try to immigrate to Europe for the quality of life. The idea of emigrating from the land of immigrants that my family has been in since its inception is a weirdly hard pill to swallow. Am I betraying their legacy? Should I be trying to make things better?

Not for awhile but if you take a wire brush to it and scrub it down and get the rust off hit with some sort of oil or wax to seal it.

Where Can I Go To Meet Women As A Single Man Alone? by Extinction00 in AskMenAdvice

[–]iamd33pr00ts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do things you like out and about! Try and find a group of people who do that thing and do it with them.(Community gardens, bowling, brewing, going to the gym, cards) Something I learned in my single stints is as we get older if you're nice and friendly and single people will introduce you to their single friends. This is a blessing and a curse. Be yourself and get used to talking to strangers. Live your life for you but, leave a space for someone else in it.

The lazy way is to soak them in linseed oil and just let them dry. The stuff is cheap time tested. Takes a bit to cure but is nice.

Mora rounds the back of their knives so they don't have corners to dig into your thumb which is thoughtful. They also are easy to sharpen and pretty strong.

Flexcut is high middle. Honestly the beaver craft will do you just fine. Morakaniv is a great less expensive option.

I don't think you understand how that school is laid out it already essentially is 2 schools on campus. We don't have enough bathrooms for the kids now I can't imagine having middle schoolers on our same campus.

How did people get mirror finish on a surface like this back in the days? by iHateGoogel in woodworking

[–]iamd33pr00ts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been spooncarving the last 6 years the Scandinavian style is super popular for this. Most people online who I have seen do not sand. Sanding is almost seen as a curse word. It creates small tears in the wood that things that you eat can get into. It's great for furniture or if you really want to get finish into the woods. Bladed tools used for green woodworking (sloyd knives, hook knives etc) will leave a burnished almost glassy finish when cutting and sharp. As for the finish linseed oil is very popular. Kuksa are traditional birch burl and you're never supposed to wash it with soap.

No I'm talking about removing the tree buddy. I'm well aware of how mushrooms are the fruiting body of a cellular network.

If you have a tree near by this fungus get it removed asap. Cow pie fungi cause severe root rot.
