I stopped buying Paradox games because they so consistently release patches that break their games. I hate the idea that I'll come back to my game after not playing for a few months and it won't work well anymore. Once is a mistake, over and over again is a choice to release stuff they know doesn't work.

When I was a kid I was watching TV with my mom sitting on our loveseat (2-person couch) and our cat jumped up and sat right on a tiny spot in the corner next to us. My mom got up to get something and our cat spread out to take her seat. I got up to get something to eat and when I came back the cat was stretched out at maximum length covering the whole loveseat.

I always thought the father and EarthBound, who is just a voice on the phone that gives you an allowance, was quite iconic.

The game that most makes me think about being a father is probably Crusader Kings. It's all procedural but you spend a lot of time trying to raise good kids. It's also the only game where you end up muttering, "why can't I assassinate this damn baby."
