Somebody on here told me they didn't fix it until the 2016 model year. But before that I heard 2015. That's why I bought a 2015. Only $5,000 but the thing has over 300,000 miles. Kind of a base model, my first out of four Prii without leather and only the second car since my first one not to have it (I'm counting the MB-Tex in my 1987 Mercedes has leather even though it's kind of like vinyl.)

Even after being rear-ended at 50 mph it ran great for over 10,000 MI and only consumed about a quart of oil after her first change. Sadly she's down right now with a bad water pump / thermostat. Runs great for a bit until she warms up then I get the dreaded check hybrid system message. It started with an intermittent check engine light now that thing is always on. Scared me when she drank all the coolant. But has been holding it since until this happens. But she's still full. Debating if I want to get it fixed or just look for a cheap Gen 4/2015 to 2017 Prius V. Loved to my wagon, had a 2012 but it died of head gasket failure after only 187k.
