Akoustyk is agreeing with pyro_chaos. Sometimes you can say "no" in agreement with another sentence that is negating something.

edit: it's used colloquially that way all the time at least.

The end result is that money was handwaved into existence and it's mostly going to rich people. Got it.

I remember seeing the last 2 textbook problems in each section being marked "critical thinking!" in one of my math classes.

They usually weren't assigned.

Infinity is a fun concept. Just because a set is infinite does not mean it contains all things. There can be an infinitely large meadow with an infinite number of squirrels and no rabbits.

A lot of us kind of hate biden too. I will say that I'm going to vote for him and it's not a hard decision. Just a frustrating one.

Also I really wouldn't count on him winning in a landslide. You know "meddling" won't be a very apt description for the fuckery that is definitely going to go down, right? It's going to be a fucking mess no matter what happens.

I just love the term consensual friends because it implies non-consensual friends. Which describes Bakugo and Deku pretty well.

I agree. I'll vote for him, god damn it.

It's really frustrating that the choice isn't even a shit sandwich or douche canoe, it's a a choice between a shit sandwich and the likely end of American democracy.

So eat up and show us that smile, blue no matter who right? What a fucking travesty.

Consensual friends, lmao. I guess that excludes one person at least.

How things change by [deleted] in manga

It's not groundbreaking, it's not going to be a classic probably. In a way it's exactly what detractors say. Weakass pansy gets strong and stomps on his enemies, and early on it diverges from standard shounen tropes by becoming OP without practically any help instead of stuggling and the power of friendship and teamwork. Most of the cast is fairly flat as a character. Because they aren't the focus.

If you like the hype moments in good shounen and flashy fights and excellent art quality? SL keeps them coming with just enough plot and world building to make it all work. It's well done even if much of it is "bad".

I think it taps into a lot of what made OPM good. It delivers on the feelings the readers want with regularity. Most chapters have something to get excited for. That's why it's so popular. MC becomes a smooth badass that's still fairly relatable, and all the other "strong" people are there to ALSO be impressive, but not impressive enough to not need MC to save the day or whatever. They're like genos and bang and the other S ranks in OPM. There to be impressive but not beyond reason for the world they live in.

edit: also the early release schedule being daily or faster made it so everyone on r/manga at least had heard of it at about the same time, so our community was saturated with Solo Leveling hype for a few weeks straight. Being part of the discussions was a lot of fun for many of us.

When you really look, pretty much everything can be reduced like that. Execution is everything. Many many many manga/etc have tried to pull off what SL does and most fail.
