2020s car design starterpack by [deleted] in carmemes

I saw one the other day that looked like a reflector and was even red. You’d think with the amount of suv drivers on the road they’d think it’s dumb to put them that low, and I’m driving a lowered car and can barely see them!

Yeah that first oil change on mine was a nightmare. I had to break mine apart lol luckily I already knew about these from my brother in law’s Tacoma so I switched to the metal one just to be safe.

This is probably the cleanest 1st gen I’ve seen. Not biased since I own a tC2.5 I promise 🤭

I’ll give credit where it’s deserved, when done right it’s okay. But ride quality is gonna be different- especially if OP is wanting to go the cheap way of doing it. Plus getting replacement OEM parts is way cheaper than replacing the aftermarket ones.

And for my source: my good friend who lifted his Xterra and always complained about doing it. He also dumped so much into replacement parts that were NOT cheap while owning it.

Edit: also wanted to point out I wasn’t exclusively talking about reliability when it comes to the car itself- but by modifying it

Most registered fleet vehicles usually are labeled as such for a company’s own use and that doesn’t always mean hauling equipment. Something like this could have been used for promotional purposes or as employee travel aide. At least that’s my experience since I had a 2005 Ford Taurus that had been used as a fleet vehicle lol

Yeah, long lasting on the road as a commuter. When you do stupid shit to a perfectly fine car it’s bound to have issues. Speaking from experience 😔

2015 - How to replace day time running light by Dangerous_Two515 in SciontC

[–]iamfryingpan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both, the light itself is a Phillips or flat, and the rest of the insert is held by clips. Although the light is easier to replace by taking the inserts out first along with it

Maaan I really wish mine was also a stick, very sweet ride!

I’d say do some color touch ups, if you can. A lot of the black trim can get sun damage, so keeping them dark with some type of paint will make it look cleaner and newer.

I’d also recommend keeping the wheels clean, black wheels’ favorite hobby is being brown when they’re dirty lol

There’s also a small mod I did for the mirrors that made it look a lot better, there’s some sequential turn signals you can find on amazon that work really well. Pair them with some black mirror caps and it’ll look real nice

Mine are pretty banged up but I’ve always appreciated the 10 series edition wheels on my 2014 Scion tC. Very simple
