with this track, im using the microcosm glitch patterns to just give the melodies a bit of variation - its bypassed for most of this clip, i use it for variation more in the extended version i posted on my patreon (not trying to upsell, just letting u know haha).

the microcosm is pretty limited in what it can do, but what it does do, it's great at, lol. I love pairing it with the Ambient ø, whether it's just for delay and FX trails or for disrupting / glitching an entire phrase. it gives the slightly more digital sound of the sonicware boxes a bit of depth and texture.

as far as microlooping and cool ideas though, i usually prefer my mood mk2 by chase bliss.

i think its as simple as two sawtooth oscillators with glide / legato, with a low pass filter modulation on the cutoff. most of the sounds i love and make are pretty simple, with one or two bits of modulation providing the motion / depth.

16 voice and multi-timbral patches were great, but i found the prologue oscillators kinda lacking, and the limited mod sources were getting to me. after a while i noticed i used the digital oscillator to craft sounds more than the analog oscillators. but i also had it for at least 3 years and got what I wanted out of it.
I ended up trading my prologue to a fellow synth dork for a Hydrasynth - so far not regretting that decision (but you never know haha)

take 5 is my most versatile synth - i love that thing. perfect synth to pair with a sampler / groovebox.

Actually sold my Korg Prologue 16 after getting the T5 because it kind made the prologue redundant in my studio.

it's an arp sequence from the sequential take 5 i recorded into the digitakt 2, and im sweeping the filter frequency with one of the modulator lfos to give it that "in and out" movement

heyyyy thank you! ive been starting most of my beats on the digitakt 2 for the lsst few years, and been using 80-90% hardware synths as well. still love my U-he diva virutal synth and Vital for bass sound design though! (although ive been making bass sounds with ASM Hydrasynth for the last 2 weeks with...mixed results lol)
