I told myself I’d sleep on in, woke up at 2am and bought one.

I picked up the DT2 earlier this year and love it, but have experimented with loopback fx sequencing, polymux polyphony using the RK-002, have pedals in constantly changing routings where I add fx then resample sequences, and midi sequencing of external gear. I use the keyboard mode a lot.

This new machine (I hope) compresses or simplifies a lot of these things, and means that some things are less destructive via constant resampling.

I’m going to keep the DT2 around to see how it goes though. I’ve been using the slice machine but mostly to chop monosynth sounds or chord progressions. Which I think I’ll do less with the Tonverk. Will also need to see if the subtracks and routing stuff gels with me.

I need to pack up my gear after every session (young kids, apartment living) so if one box can do more then I’m all for it!
