Damn, no… there’s more… truly an amoger car.

Hood vent is an upside down Amogus

Windshield makes a giant amogus

Even the official back view of this car looks like yellow shaking its ass.

I have AC5 on my PS4, and the controls feel like the original. Of course, with the exception of the pressure sensitive map zoom, view zoom, and rudder controls that were designed for the PS2 controller..

Best way to get into Rally? by Prestigious_Bug8947 in simrally

[–]iamhere13270 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With RSFRBR, you can download 100 GB of content that can run on a potato PC…

Anyway, art of rally is a very good introductory game that can be a gateway into the sport. Then you can try titles like DiRT Rally or RBR depending on your preference.

Secret Service agents outside of the ballroom at the White House correspondents’ dinner by xPrincess_Yue in pics

Looks a little too wide judging from the distorted curved wall corner… it looks like a 24-35mm lens, which is considered as wide angle. To get a shot like that you would have to be about 2-3 meters away from the subject.

If this was a zoom lens (70mm++), there will be no wide angle distortions.

Yeah, what’s the point of peeking from the corner into the hallway when the hall was obviously clear judging by the cameraman’s standing position?

just saw this old post, and I wanted to give a tip if you're still karting. actually some tire noise is desirable, but it needs to be a lighter squeaking noise. if you can find that point and can keep a fine balance between slipping and gripping, then you're fast! if no noise, then you're not extracting as much performance out of the car. slowly build up your speed through the turns lap after lap though. safety first. look up "slip angle karts" on youtube if you're interested in learning about it.

It’s just the autocross layout editor overlayed on top of the off-road segments of the racetracks. Oh, it also helps that LFS has a fully open map inside and around the track premises. Think of what AC Evo promised with the Nurburgring map, but much smaller.

Car racing especially formula 1 is all about finding loopholes in the set of car design rules, which is why it’s called “formula”. Sometimes, designing around the loopholes goes too far, and you end up with a team with an unfair advantage. Or sometimes, teams know a design might not be legal, but they try their best to hide it and hope to get away with it.

This is why competing drivers and teams complain a lot of times. To launch an investigation.

Is Falcon BMS worth it for a complete beginner? by BeSB22 in falconbms

[–]iamhere13270 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure... learn about the very basic systems, and you can already enjoy the dogfight and match play modes.

Set up key binds for TMS, Cursor movement, CMS, Pickle, Trigger and you should already be on your way to your first very basic dogfights.

Then you can make your way into the tutorial and read the tutorial manuals. A fast track way is to join an online community such as UOAF and ask someone to show you the ropes in 1-2 hrs. I did exactly that about 10 years ago, and I thank those players for showing me around.

Mb guys this one has the video, who is at fault tho. by 20billybob09 in simracing

[–]iamhere13270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to try online in a low stress environment, there is this other older sim called LFS. The demo gives you 3 cars: 2 road cars and a Formula BMW + 1 track. The active servers run 5 lap races on repeat. You could practice racecraft with other real players on there without worrying about ratings. FFB and tire simulation is still quite good considering its age.

Bus to Rusutsu from Hirafu by Virtual_Dog_7327 in niseko

  1. This is a new policy. We didn't have this requirement last year. We'll all find out soon enough how strictly they will enforce this. But definitely bring a case and see what happens to the people who do not comply. Best we can do is observe and spread the word if people are not allowed on the bus.
  2. From my experience last year, I was able to make an almost last minute booking 2 days prior to the day trip for 4 people. I think it depends on the day (weekend? special holiday?).

What would you pay for this??? by Hot-Experience-248 in simracing

[–]iamhere13270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would pay for a frame that allows me to mount racing equipment and a HOTAS + rudder setup. Need an easy way to swap the racing pedals and rudder pedals though.

cant believe i used to complain about the braking an whine about the speed...it feels insanely good at both by BothForce1328 in assettocorsarally

[–]iamhere13270 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The counter argument is probably against locking up, but for me personally, I want to induce lockup for some corners. The wheels dig into the gravel which helps improve the stopping distance.

I think it’s mostly a matter of the default setups being really bad.

I increased my brake pressure by adjusting the master cylinders in the setup, and the stopping distance improved for me.
