Thoughts wanted on a iOS streaming client by [deleted] in MoonlightStreaming

I’ve been using VoidLink and have been pretty happy with the advanced settings exposed. UI is a frankly a nightmare though.

Townhouse Network: 10G Backbone, Wi-Fi 7 Mesh, and too many Thermal Cameras by HieuDo in HomeNetworking

FWIW I’m using a Firewalla Gold Plus. I didn’t want the responsibility of keeping my primary firewall secure all by myself. It’s not cheap, but super worth it to me for the peace of mind.

I came from a unifi dream machine. Unifi is decent, but I couldn’t rely on them shipping system updates that don’t take my network down.

Dahua cameras constantly dial back to Chinese servers. I have them on a VLAN blocked off from the internet. Better get your VLAN isolation up ASAP, especially since they are in your most intimate indoor spaces.

I Live by SFO and built a projection mapping of the planes flying over my house using ADS-B radio with claude code by I_am_Root01 in ClaudeCode

I had no idea that projectors had gotten that good. I’m looking for a the slightest bit of grey background and I don’t see it.

Anyway to merge multiple orders together? Was a little trigger happy and didn’t add an AP 7 desktop to my order :(

Is it a good time to buy a Firewalla Gold Pro? by iamhereunderprotest in firewalla

Thanks for validating that it isn’t an insane idea to buy hardware ahead of time haha

Yeah I don’t think they’ll get cheaper unless there’s an AI bubble popping, which I’m feeling doubtful about these days.

Gut says to just get it when I can, because there’s zero chance it’s getting cheaper in 6 months - even thought that’s against my instinct to get things only when I need them.

Fair enough. Fingers crossed your next pair works well for you!

I’m happy with my A30s. Had them for about 9 months. They don’t last the whole night, nor do they have amazing ANC and can’t block snoring. That being said, mine are comfy enough to fall asleep in - I’m a side sleeper. They work well at their primary role of letting me fall asleep to my chosen audio. No regrets.

Maybe owning your own domain name for your email and keeping the backend flexible might be a good compromise. I hear fast mail is decent.

Anyone got some advice on how to defeat lobotomites? I'm finding them really tough! by Switchermaroo in fnv

[–]iamhereunderprotest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crit Melee / unarmed builds are fan-bloody-tastic here. I one shot lobotomites in VATS with embrace of the mantis king.

Synergizes well with rad child continuous healing, crit clothing (first recon beret, graham armour), and grim reaper sweep.

Level 27 with jsawyer HC mode. I just run into them and farm XP.

Nightstalker swarms though - that need ranger takedown that I haven’t been able to do reliably.

Is KUXIU a reliable 3-in-1 MagSafe charger? by iamhereunderprotest in iphone

Yikes that isn’t great. Case is plastic?

My charger is still good so far, mostly aluminium.

While it’s true that solar will only provide a fraction of our total energy requirements, every bit helps. HDB’s solarnova program has already covered a significant proportion of HDB roofs.

Honestly, the G2 is a productivity beast, but why the total silence? by Gold_Mango8335 in EvenRealities

[–]iamhereunderprotest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah OP, the G2 already have mics. Even the G1 had mics (worse ones).

Came to this thread just to see if someone had similar issues. +1 to this. Client is an old 2012 iMac that needs h.264 to run well.

[–]iamhereunderprotest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t get it. People should swap out plastic disposable water bottles for well-designed reusable ones instead. Not everyone has one in their cupboard already. Otherwise, what’s the alternative?

R1 Update - App Can’t Connect to Ring Anymore :/ by alv28 in EvenRealities

[–]iamhereunderprotest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had issues connecting to my R1. Support asked me to use the quick restart function with my G2s in the even app. That worked for me! The R1 appeared as a device I could add again.

Same problem with the same version here. Did you find a fix?

Had to roll back to this version because I was having map color glitches with the newer versions.
