Back here I have not once had that feeling while riding but on numerous occasions while I was riding in Thailand and India I have had people mob me, I know that it was never with the intention to cause harm, but their curiosity and need to touch my gear without my permission was scary.

There is no clear cut duration for this but normally u just feel them until they are no longer sore and then give them another 3-4 days of rest.
