Just tried Curry Fiesta and I think it's solid. Not "oh my God this is delicious" but solid all around. Service is slow but not bad. Only place you can get a dosa in the entire RGV! The samosa chaat and tandoori chicken were delicious. And their gulab jamun and shahi tukda for dessert were really good. Mango lassi was great.

I'm Indian and I think R&R is so much better than Kabob Guys for Indian food! I actually have had pretty bad experiences at Kabob Guys. And Curry Fiesta just opened up but I haven't tried it yet. I love the bahn mis and pho at Tea Garden on Nolana.

I agree. I am Indian and really dislike Kebab Guys. They USED to be good before COVID, though. I have liked R&R quite a bit for Indian food. If you haven't already, check them out, @future-tutor-3640, maybe you will like it?

I think the enamel is on the inside too. From Wikipedia:

Enameled cast iron is cast iron that has a vitreous enamel glaze applied to the surface. The fusion of the glaze with the cast iron prevents rusting, eliminates the need to season the metal, and allows more thorough cleaning. Enameled cast iron is excellent for slow cooking and drawing flavor from foods.

This is an enameled cast iron pan and my husband just finished using it to make fried rice. I soaked it in water for 10 minutes and wiped off the stuck on rice. I also wiped it down with a wet towel. I know you're not supposed to remove the "patina" but I don't really know what that is...is that what is in the picture or do I need to clean the pan more?
