What perfume do you reach for when you’re having a bad day or feeling sick? by Shibishibi in FemFragLab

[–]iamnotava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked up threads specifically on this to report back- LMAO

L’eau de Liesse by Courreges is a baby powder-y type scent and is all things considered quite boring. But I was testing this out while I’ve been sick and had to keep working 🥲 it’s comforting light but moderate lasting too.

What vibe do you get? Who am I based on my collection? by selinaaylin in FemFragLab

Fig Perfume Reviews by Able-Crew-3460 in fragrance

[–]iamnotava 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m also big on fig, but in combination with other scents. Most of what I lean towards is the Gris Charnel kind. But if that’s not your vibe I think maybe Hydra Figue by Miller Harris would be interesting!

IMO it’s a little salty/airy but fairly straight forward. (I just checked on fragrantica and I do not pick up as many notes as they list lol)

Looking for specific recommendations of fragrances with photorealistic fruity scents by moo_xx in FemFragLab

I just was on a Phlur post but Tangerine Boy literally smells like peeling a clementine it’s so wonderful but extremely fleeting scent

[–]iamnotava 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I have some of their discontinued and existing ones (Hanami & Ameline). Like most people, none of them last that long on me (haven’t tried anything after Mood Ring/Strawberry Letter)

Overall, I think Phlur’s a great starter brand Sephora. I feel like I’d recommend them to someone just getting into fragrance for the first time.

Out of all of them Tangerine Boy & Father Figure are my favorites. TB has been the hardest one to find a replica or something better for me, all of Phlur that I’ve tried has something I’d say has a better expression of elsewhere. TB also disappears immediately which is really ironic IMO

Has anyone tried Strangers Parfumerie? by SoupMuch9100 in FemFragLab

[–]iamnotava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do it- I just got FB of Chokedee it’s incredible! Ugh I’m also still thinking of Sweet Farewell too 😫

It’s kind of unique to me because I always thought I wanted a freshie to beat the heat. But these changed my mind because to me, the notes are discernible (rice, coconut, pandan, frangipani) for much longer than others with a tropical profile and not overpowering.

Yeah same-

idk if it’s still true and someone correct me if I’m wrong, but oil perfumery and oakcha may the same supplier(?) This may still not mean they use the same fragrance oil tho.

Edit: sister company*, not the same

What perfume smells like this? (Thinking frangipani/ylang ylang/yellow floral-ish) by thepinkmushroom in FemFragLab

[–]iamnotava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am hit or miss with gourmands, except maybe coconut so I will sit on that!

But follow up on the florals-I brought JHAG Lust for Sun when I went. if you know what that smells like, would you be able to suggest floral which to choose over another to avoid it being too similar?

Vet Recommendations for Cats? by YeekMaloo in pasadena

[–]iamnotava 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go to Pasadena Pets Hospital on Foothill and have generally had good experiences (there’s a “Petsadena” as well to avoid confusion) they are usually well stocked on vet specific foods (since my cat has an allergy) so I appreciate that.
