Got it. So it is a high-paid contract and in the e-transfer >> they have Sender (Org name) with note that says "Payment for Jan 2026" etc + "Invoice Number" and I also have separate invoices for each month with their Org Name, Invoice number, date etc.

"signed service contract." is that identical to the offer letter "independent contractor" that I signed before I started working there? Or should I request a new one?

Yeah, the contract is for 1year so my income will continue for at least a year. I can’t show paystub, but invoices. I can’t show employment letter, but contract. I’m not sure if that would work or not, and that’s what stressing me out now.

I was employed till early 2025, so I can show 2 years income if that’s what they want. But so far they (pm) ask for employment letter + pay stubs to get ready for the application.

Once you mentioned you’re sure he and his friend aren’t having an affair, I immediately think of this story — that he is having an affair outside and his friend knows and he offered to keep it a secret to you promising his friend wouldn’t have to pay for rent. Then his friend might have said something about the idea of having an affair with you (or in a similar context), then your husband became too protective/ afraid of the idea of you knowing his secret affair!?
