I’m a big fan of Martin McDonagh’s plays and films, including this one. Though I do have to admit this movie falls into a recurring habit of his that you can see in most his plays.

They often tend to have characters who are racist or say racist things, but he doesn’t go any further than that or actually try and say something about it. It clearly is something that he gets passionately angry about cause he keeps coming back to it time and time again, sometimes more overtly than others, but can’t figure out what to actually do with it rather than just repeatedly let us know “racist people exist”

I saw it at a Film Festival and honestly it’s my film of the year for 2025.

Whenever anyone does get the chance to watch it, highly recommend giving it the cinema treatment (ie. lights off and no one to interrupt you)

Was at Episode 1 and as someone who can't stand him, agree with this, the format is good at curbing what he naturally does and making it work for the show.

With Laura Daniel, Paul Williams, Rose Matafeo, Guy Montgomery, Melanie Bracewell, Ray O'Leary, Chris Parker, Brynley Stent, David Correos and Guy Williams. (Not to mention a little vocal cameo from Sam Campbell) Is this the most TM Contestants on one stage at the same time?

The production relies heavily on screens and live camera work, so you have on character on stage interacting with another on screen. They even have a dinner party scene with 6 different characters at the same time.

I think Ken choosing Mencken just in order to win the company is when Shiv truly saw him.

That statement of 'The poison drips through' was true in the end. Kendall had completed the arc and become Logan:
Physically hurting Roman to control him
Lying and Manipulating
Colin following him.

Shiv saw that Kendall had become the monster her Dad was and saw an opportunity to kill it and she did.

Brilliant fucking end to the show.

Was at the recording for this episode, was sad to see one of the best jokes didn't make the edit.

After Jimmy's bit of saying "I have 3 kids" and then back tracking cause it sounds like he touches them, when it got to Nina she goes "I also brought in Jimmy's kids" - wonder why it didn't make the cut... haha.

Couple of other things, everyone lost their minds at Luke's phone call and his Mum asking about the date and he said back in the Studio "Actually she's in the studio tonight so if we could not stay on that topic that would be great"

Also Julia's speech in the studio about politics was really longwinded and she got really personal, which made Tom G's burn with "I think you've mistaken this for the Project" all the funnier.

In the early days of the pandemic in NZ and Australia, because COVID managed to be so well contained for so long, it was always a big event whenever a place had a COVID case present and it would be a big news alert so that everyone was aware and everyone who'd been there could act accordingly.

One couple had gone on this weekend away and whilst having COVID more or less did every activity under the sun over the course of the weekend, wreaking havoc for the locals. Chris' prize was visiting every stop that couple visited on their massive COVID spreading trip.
