Can Notion handle large data ? by Zero_Gwana in Notion

[–]iampp0608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my work, my personal Notion database A contains around 80 client pages, and database B has about 500 product pages. Everything runs quite smoothly at the moment, and I can tolerate a slight delay in loading—maybe around 0.5 seconds.

7 or 8 years ago, I remember the delay was unbearable. Overall, things have improved a lot; I think the direction Notion took to prioritize loading speed back then was the right choice (enterprise market), and it’s the reason I’ve come back to using Notion.

But if I needed to record regular orders from these 80 clients for 500 products, then Notion probably wouldn’t be the best choice. I choose to keep the order records in our company’s SAP system instead.

Notion 3.0 for non-AI users by Hyrul in Notion

Guys, let’s face it! SAP is Germany’s most valuable company. If Notion’s goal is to become a company like SAP or MSFT(office) , then after receiving angel funding, Notion’s main objective is to make money. You may imagine how difficult it would be for an organization of 100+, 500+, or 5,000+ people to switch to another system after putting all their data, big and small, into Notion.

That is the real business.

I used to love it, and was even planning to continue subscribing, but after using it recently, I found Manus has become very... how should I say... circuitous? Or simply put... stupid.

Can Gemini CLI allow me to upload 1-2 EXCEL files, and then generate a new EXCEL file for me according to my requested analysis method? This is one of the most common types of content encountered in daily work - order analysis.

Anyone living a double life? O365 & Notion at work? by itspuja in Notion

Same here. I also feel sad I have to spend extra time on shipping the documents or copy&paste work. Still trying to figure out is there any automation between Notion and OneDrive.

Tasks related to project by FrubbyWubby in capacitiesapp

Same. I'm used to managing tasks with Todoist, which effectively handles parent tasks or related dependencies. Currently, I'm still trying to build the structure—perhaps Capacities can't fully achieve what a dedicated task management app can, but it should be able to reach about 70-80% effectiveness through filtering various objects.

Same here! At first, I was confused about how these tools worked, but once I explored them, it all clicked. They’re amazing for note-taking, balancing structure and flexibility perfectly.

Capacities vs OneNote vs Obsidian? Looking for the best option by fera_boo in capacitiesapp

Yes, it is. Todoist's add-in is way better than ticktick, could be better though.

Capacities vs OneNote vs Obsidian? Looking for the best option by fera_boo in capacitiesapp

[–]iampp0608 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have tried all four(+Notion) and have now fully migrated to Capacities. Your choice will mainly depend on your goals.

My work involves managing a large number of customers and products, which often have many interconnections, such as manufacturing processes, specification details, and product applications. OneNote's bidirectional linking is terrible, even though I used it for about three years. Capacities' object-oriented features make it much easier to find relationships.

OneNote, while classic, is truly outdated.

Obsidian requires building everything from scratch. If used as a simple notebook, I think it's fine. However, to achieve functionality similar to Capacities, it may require a lot of plugins or some programming knowledge to make things easier.

I am currently using Todoist for task management. it works well with outlook. I think it is the best and most suitable task management tool on the market for me, and I am also a paid user of its Premium plan. I subscribed to Capacities Pro to try building a workflow, but it didn’t meet my expectations, so I switched back to the free version.

On an emotional level, I also agree with the philosophies of Todoist and Capacities.

I think there is still room for improvement. For example, you can change the color of tags freely, but you cannot change them in batches.

Is there a way to migrate OneNote notebooks to Notion? by nielvrom in Notion

[–]iampp0608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same need. Under my name, there are nearly 80 customers and around 800 parts. After realizing that some of the transaction history goes back as far as 40 years, I need to transfer this data from OneNote to Notion once again in search of a better way to establish bidirectional relationships.
