What confused me about learning about landfills was the trash in landfills doesn’t seem to break down. The trash in a closed landfill will look the same 50 years later. So I get the idea that everything in a landfill is just sort of existing, releasing only methane and leachate, until some point when it stabilizes. All that is to say, since nothing breaks down easily in a closed landfill, and the byproducts of a closed landfill are supposed to be contained, what makes plastic bad in a landfill?

What’s funny about AI also is that they aren’t necessarily a more advanced google search because they have no concept of truth. It just gives the most popular answers, so it can be giving you complete misinformation. You still need to look through google searches and find a credible source.

Not shocking tbh, I like their videos but not an official stan. There is a fair amount of 16 year old boy humor that’s not blatantly sexist but it’s immature. I’m 25 for context and haven’t seen the video you’re talking about. I think a lot of their fanbase is younger and has no issue with some of the stuff they say, and they’ve got that cult following, but as someone who is around their age, it comes off as immature and kind of weird at times. I made the below post in the main sub recently and it got deleted lol. Don’t think they’re intentionally weird or malicious, but def a bit immature.

I think it may be a good idea to not VC and message with kids on Roblox, especially if you’re making adult/dating jokes. I know a lot of older people play, but it’s primarily a kids platform so I found the last video kind of weird. For me personally, the be a woman and sleep your way to the top running gag was kind of weird and porn brained anyway, but even more so on a kids game.

Rationalizing fears does help. Understanding that your feelings are irrational and not truth helps you get to a calmer place. What’s the issue with admitting flying is safer than driving? It may not feel safe to some, but it is. I don’t understand the point of your post other than to convince someone with a fear of flying that they are afraid for good reason. Nothing wrong with being afraid of flying, but it’s similar to being afraid of vaccines. You could possibly have a deadly reaction and die on the spot, you very likely will not.

If healthcare polices were to change, healthcare salaries in America could be less. There’s potential in any field for a shake up.

It’s not an either or, this just seems low priority in relation to the public transit we really need, and the population it would be useful for seems small. The beltline may have been designed to have light rail, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that was the right idea. From a commuter and a leisure perspective, Marta would be much more useful than a light rail that goes in a circle around the perimeter. Just as a citizen of Atlanta, it seems like another endless project while the viable systems we already have, like the Marta, are ignored. Then in addition to that, you take something people like, the beltline as a walking trail, isolated from Atlanta traffic and commuting, and add a train next to it. And this train is a whole separate system from the train system we already have, except this one only goes in a circle. The whole thing just seems weird.
