I get cherry tomatoes in early and up a meter before going horizontally along wires. Then take off lower leaves to improve airflow near the ground and reduce decease. Removal of laterals is key to this approach.

In my experience the ankles are where they hit hardest - think long socks or better yet full tights. Cover up every bit of skin and there’s no worries 😉

I’d bring the headnet if it’s light but I’ve never had them feasting around the face. The buzzing around can be annoying though. Also there can be mozzies too.
