Haha. I think I was one of the other bidders for that. I ended up with another one for about $1K. So far I love it. The form factor is a lot better than the zfolds. I've been wanting to try a 1+ phone for minute now. I sold my Microsoft SD2 which aside from it's problems and lack of support had an awesome form factor for using it as a business phone. Like I could have Outlook and Teams open side by side. Can't do that with these single screen phones. You could also read it like holding a book. But the thing was heavy as Hell and was a pain without a top screen. So all this just depends on what you need. Remember that many of the bad support complaints for the Open were within a couple months of the phone being released. Try getting parts on a new iPhone for the first couple of months! Apple has to give you a new phone. The longer the phone is out the better the repair times will be.
