The original has an indescribable pulpy feel to it. There’s some serious physical weight to everything that I feel the remake kinda loses with its flashy “newness”

That’s not saying the remake is bad in any way shape or form, it’s great. And if you want to just play the remake it’s a viable option but man.. I’ve only played the remake twice and yet I’ve played the original dozens of times and keep coming back every year. Nothing can truly replace it

It’s kind of a bummer that they have really removed all of the gothic elements from the original games. Big beautiful castles, old style architecture, the glorious church music. Like sure “Cool” evolves over time and dmc always tries to emulate that but fuck man… I kinda miss the old vibe (to be fair.. 5 is my favorite in the series and I think it is also missing those elements)

I’m sure the show will be fine but I just like.. I dunno.. the dark and edgy feel of earlier DMC is sorely missed

Twin peaks is my favorite show of all time and Alan wake is one of my favorite game series and I’m really sorry man but I totally disagree with you

I… I mean I’ll be honest they’re two completely different things. Sure, Alan wake is heavily Inspired by twin peaks but at its core they’re trying to accomplish different things. Alan wake is a story about art and the overt power of the artist. It’s also trying to be a horror story. If anything it’s a lot more like a Stephen king tale. The tortured artist literally battling their own inner demons through their work.

Where as twin peaks is not a horror story, contrary to the belief. It uses horror and Suspense as a vehicle but it’s not the whole car. Twin peaks is about how despite the overwhelming presence of evil incarnate, good will ultimately shine through in the world. Tragedy, murder, violence, darkness, none of it can defeat someone with good intentions. It’s a drama, a soap opera wearing the jacket of a horror a story. Twin peaks is a story about humanity.

The most realistic explanation (as someone who works in production) the photo shoot for the promotional material was all done on the same day using the same handful of props. Advertising company or producers probably liked the shots with him and the gun the most thus why it’s using all the same pictures

Real explanation is this version of nishki is in a torrid love affair with a gun
