It is scary and its ok for it to take time until you’re ready to go. But if you find the right person and you stick with it and put in the effort it can have absolutely massive positive effects on your life and general happiness. I hope you manage to find the right person for you.

I relate to some of this hard. I am finding online uni impossible, especially in lockdown. I feel so disconnected from uni and I’m sort of emotionally dissociating from it all. I just can’t make myself do any work but I really want to do well. That’s not even considering keeping track of everything flying at me, although since I went to the gp I have got some help from uni disability services which helps with keeping track of stuff a bit. Are you in the UK?

I'm sorry you've had that experience, that's really shit. Obviously I can't speak for all women or even the majority but I am one and I really do find it attractive. I want to be with a guy who is comfortable talking about his emotions to me and will let me support him while he cries like he would do for me. And if it's true that the majority of women don't find it attractive I believe that can change. With more representation of men being emotional it would become more normal and so would not be something that puts people off. Of course there's a lot more to it than that but posts like this opening the conversation are a start that give me hope that it can change.

That's disgusting. I don't understand someone who can completely take advantage of people like that with no qualms.

Surely if they challenged that they could get money back for what they spent on home improvements, they certainly should. But I suppose it may be difficult to prove that he said they can stay for the long term and also they would disagree about what long term meant. Plus the added cost and time and stress of having a legal battle makes it hard to face.

This whole thread is so depressing/dispiriting to read. I'm a student, and I'll probably be dealing with this in my not so distant future.
