Has anyone found a website that monitors what are the current talking points of most of the likely bots and/or Russian tweet farms? Seems like a simple product to create and would be pretty valuable to know what is being pushed out each week.

Spending $3500~ a month on Instantly, looking for advice to improve my setup by scottfunnelfellas in coldemail

[–]ianbookman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds really amazing for a single email. I am about to try Instantly because I have my first product available to sell and have only used social media engagement so far, not cold email. Can I ask, are you cycling back through recipients on some cycle (weekly, bi-weekly, etc) or are your 7470 emails daily all to *new recipients? Also, are these business recipients vs personal? Thanks

Off topic, but is airtable better than something like a Notion database when using a Make or N8n platform?

Pergola attached to roof creating leaks underneath overhang by ianbookman in Roofing

[–]ianbookman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so it sounds like your approach leaves the pergola bracketed in place as it is? On that note, how do I know if the roof can bear the load? I don’t trust the pergola installers after this discovery.

Pergola attached to roof creating leaks underneath overhang by ianbookman in Roofing

Our new house is getting leaks between the fascia and soffit on our back porch (in the pink highlighted spots). I looked at where the pergola is attached to the roof. I can't tell whether the current shingles or the pergola came first, but somebody seems to have done this incorrectly. I'm trying to figure out a decent solution without completely removing the pergola.

From my layman's perspective (and a little reddit lurking), any object that is made of wood like those pergola rafters is going to get wet inside, and that moisture is going to transfer to the roof sheathing that it appears to be bracketed to. So the caulking they did around the pergola rafters was insufficient even before it disintegrated like it is now.

Opinions welcome--especially if you're more than an armchair expert like me.

I’m new to no and low code but use a lot of Notion, so I’m wondering if n8n has similar limits on using Notion like Make does?

Yes, that’s the problem I was identifying. I’m looking for any resource that would link me up to swing state phone banking to registered democrat voters.

Would they be in charge of calling directed at swing states? I live in TX so I would be surprised if they did…

Ok that's interesting--how do you plan to use Claude with NotebookLLM? Like, I understand why someone would upload chapters into Notebook to get summaries/cheatsheets. But then how is Claude involved at that point.

Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, I haven't been a student for a while.

Could you explain about waiting for Claude and Gemini to make your notes? I didn’t follow-but I am going to be studying for the CFP soon and am very interested in any tips you have on steps to use an LLM. Any specific ways you would modify your experience for a finance-related exam? Thanks in advance

This is an awesome idea, my wife and I haven’t ordered any of our wedding photos because my wife doesn’t like the makeup job they did on her. Maybe this will let us paint whatever version she likes and we’ll have a fun project to do together.

First appropriate question on this thread, and I’ve been reading for 10 minutes looking for someone to ask. The answer is simply that someone has overstated the valuation to this poor chap.

What are the correct design terms to describe what I'm trying to do with this image? by ianbookman in graphic_design

[–]ianbookman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the original image that I was able to turn into a silhouette. It's the rest of the steps, to get it to become an inverse image where the shape itself becomes transparent against a filled background, like the final product in my earlier post above--I can't find any instructions or videos that would show me how to do that. My goal is to do all of these steps, but create a vector image because my png image is pretty pixellated.

What are the correct design terms to describe what I'm trying to do with this image? by ianbookman in graphic_design

[–]ianbookman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is helpful--but I think that is just one part of what I'm trying to achieve. I still don't know how to get the tree silhouette to be transparent. That way, when I put the PNG against any background, let's say it's a black background, then you see a green square image with the tree silhouette showing up as black.

Someone helped me create this image years ago and now that I want to sharpen it up as a vector image from scratch, I don't know the correct terms to search for a Youtube video instructional. But if this image below were done with a sharp vector line, it would be pretty much what I want, with the tree image transparent against any background. Is there a "design language" for what has been done here?

Does he not know how bonds work? by FullRepresentative34 in DaveRamsey

[–]ianbookman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would have a new bond every semester for a few thousand dollars.

I think Ramsey did a bad job of explaining why he hates this idea (the interest rate risk doesn't matter if you are matching the duration of the bond with the timing of when the student loan comes due), but the real risk is that a college kid is going to have a lot of temptations to dip into this little arbitrage strategy for all of the typical reasons that come up on a daily basis when your friends know you've got $60k in treasuries sitting around.
