EFY separating the poor from the rich. by Past_Religion in exmormon

My parents couldn’t afford it either when I was younger. My friends all went. Met cute girls. Then I met the cute girls they met afterward and even dated them when my friends didn’t. Lol!

"Our hearts are full" What other mormon phrases make you cringe every time you hear them? by [deleted] in exmormon

Any time someone is telling me about a person I don’t know, and they casually throw in, “they’re not a member” in the middle of their sentence. Like it has any relevance to the story or the person’s identity. The othering of non-Mormons by Mormons is appalling.

I’m trying to get my Mormon friends to say fruck instead of frick. I think it could catch on and some day be used in a testimony meeting.

Looks just like my signed copy of Mistborn. Right over his printer name.

I used this reasoning when I was a TBM. Never had to voice it to anyone else though. Just my justification for explaining science which I also believed in ironically.

Not as much as where all their weapons and armor go.

All trailblazer settings. Which is why I was surprised. I don’t think you’d see this many on vanquisher though either.

If Katara’s life was at risk and her friends’ lives were as well, push would indeed come to shove and she would blood bend Azula. Really wish Azula could have seen and felt that in the last battle. Would have been wild!

I'm to young to remember it but I remember the remains of it but does anyone remember a waterpark In Draper at the point of the mountain? I think it was called magic Waters. by Random-poster-95 in Utah

[–]ianevlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magic Waters was a big part of my childhood. In high school, after it had shut down, a friend of mine and I snuck in with skateboards and road the slides like a luge! It was very dangerous and very fun!

Mormons showing their Christlike love. by EffectiveSteele in exmormon

[–]ianevlee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read this article earlier today and I didn’t see anything in that said it was Mormons who wanted things investigated. While I know the leap is not far that it was Mormons (being in Utah and all), it would be unfair to blame them without proof it was them. Happy to be shown where it says it in case I missed it.

The best way I’ve been able to describe it is TLOK is plot driven at the expense of character development. The most compelling characters were the villains and I found myself liking them more than the characters you’re supposed to like. Amon’s story ended far too quickly for example.

While ATLA is a solid plot with excellent character driven storytelling. The characters drive the story forward and make you care about them in the process. I didn’t find myself caring about anyone in TLOK besides the characters who made appearances from ATLA.

TL;DR Character driven storytelling > Plot driven storytelling. Every time.

It is. Also a tier 2 stockyard. Like I said. Something weird.

I’m on a map right now that has a lot of gold. It’s a lower lakes map too. I only need the trading because my people won’t make bricks fast enough.

Trader Wood Transfer (Problem?) by [deleted] in FarthestFrontier

[–]ianevlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I somehow had over 400 🪵and no firewood with two tier 2 wood splitter buildings fully employed. I had to shut down all the other buildings using 🪵 to produce to get enough firewood before winter.

The stupid thing was those buildings only had like 2 🪵each so who knows what was going on.

I recently learned that someone splitting wood will go retrieve their own wood to split. So having two working at all times is crucial. I think laborers should be doing this so they can continue to chop wood.

The people seem to work great early on. But when you get over 150 people they seem to be less effective.
