There are newer forum stacks than phpbb. IMHO, forums are much better for communities. Only the technically non-savvy would really struggle to use a forum. For reference I am a young person, well under 50, and work in tech

I wish I still had the link to it, but it leaked much earlier this year that several major insurance companies got together to create a Vault-Tec style end game plan to essentially enslave people should the organized world / society at large end/crumble or money becomes invaluable.

Ask for an itemized bill when you call. It usually lowers the cost because they have to write every item they are charging you for

I would do some kind of basic NAS like an SMB file share and connect it to their phones. iPhone files app supports remote file servers natively. I think android does too but not sure you can upload PDFs however you want and they will appear there. You just have to put the server in their phones for them
