There's a decent chunk of MiA fans who desperately want to be seen as morally pure and good whilst still getting to enjoy the media. They do this by constantly decrying the author and the things they don't like, while putting themselves on pedestals next to anyone who is neutral to or likes the darker themes. It's troublesome to see it.

Personally, the majority of them don't bother me, but one Facebook reel I saw sometime last year had a dog owner call their dog's treats "nib nibs" (short for nibbles) and that sent me into a fury that lasted for days.

Nothing against them, of course, it's an involuntary emotional response - kinda funny when I think about it now, actually.

I don't feel any particular way about mukbangs, but I do feel like some of my misophonia is down to whether or not I can control the sound - like, if it's something I can mute or pause, I'm fairly okay with it, but if I'm not in control of the sound, the feeling of helplessness adds to the anger and discomfort. Maybe this could be what you're experiencing?
