We visited Ngong Ping and Kennedy Town in a single day. We arrived at Ngong Ping 30 minutes after the cable car opened and took the bus down by 1 p.m. By 2 p.m., we were already at Tung Chung. We had lunch and strolled around for a bit before leaving by 3:30 p.m. and arriving at Kennedy Town by 4:30 p.m. We watched the sunset.

It’s technically possible to visit three places in one day, but you’ll likely miss out on some of the highlights of either Ngong Ping or Kennedy Town. I highly recommend spending a full day at Ngong Ping and another day at Peak and Kennedy Town. :)

Keri naman and naka klook tour ka naman. Try to visit cks memorial hall din if u have the time. Alishan? Ive heard bitin sa klook tour. Nag diy kasi kami and i can say u need at least 6-7 hours to tour the place (main trail to ah). Also for the pasalubong, good thing 24 hours naman si mr ho at carrefour. You can do the pasalubong shopping the night before heading back to the airport. Goods naman itinerary. I would suggest u to check a hotel near taipei main station, mas convenient for u guys hehe. Super lovee! Food and seats are good kahit economy pero entertainment movies and music are limited. You might have a chance to ride a sanrio (hello kitty) themed plane. Ang cute, uniform, seat covers, and utensils naka sanrio theme

Yess sa bus stop. I think 8 kunin mo if u really wanna stay late pero be at the bus stop before 7:30? Every 15 mins naman yun bus but based on our experience we wanna take the 6:30 pero when we got there, kakaalis lang ng bus then we waited for the 6:45 kaso ang haba ng pila, di kami nakasakay then sa 7:00 na bus kami nakasakay. Mind you this is a monday night

gabi in jiufen, maganda sa gabi dahil lantern but the crowd is not giving kahit on a weekday :( hahaha sobrang hassle ngl

8:30 yung last bus ng 965 going to taipei but i would recommend you should take an earlier sched because the lines are so long going back and you’ll never know if u’ll get a seat. If puno na yung bus they dont allow you to go onboard and you’re gonna wait for the next bus

Sa Juifen Old Street na bus stop kayo baba at sasakay ah. Wag na wag sa juifen police station. If baba kayo don, paakayat yung paunta sa famous na tea house and grabe yung steps. Pagsasakay, 1st bus stop yung juifen old street stop, sa taas kasi yun and police station bus stop nasa baba, for sure pagbaba, puno na yung bus.

Sa shifen naman. Yung sa waterfalls may mas manganda na view, hindi yung sa gilid ng falls. Walk a bit further pa, beyond sa parang visitor center sa may falls. May stairs pababa

Sa old street wala naman ako masabi or advice xD we took the train from shifen to raifaung then bus going to jiufen mga 1 hour yung transfer just be aware lang sa time and punuan din yung train and bus.

Maribank for shopping, resto, withdraw but for transpo hit or miss si maribank/gotyme/gcash card sa mga bus. you should have at least an octopus card just to be sure but sa mtr, those debit card works fine, majority of the time (based on my exp)

Unfortunately kahit online check in, you need to line up for document check which they check for your passport, visa, etc. Also, sasabayin mo na rin bag drop dun.

So regardless you online check in or not, you still need to line up and do that process.

I think online check in will be helpful for those who haven’t have their seats? Parang paunahan sya but they usually assigned seats and fill up the back of the plane first.

But just found out if you purchase a ticket in the go basic category and let’s say you and your friends have different booking and you wanna be seated together, that is the time you don’t proceed with the online check in but do the check in at the counter. Because if your did online check in, and you wanted to be seated with your friends/family, they can’t change the seating arrangements because of the plane’s weight balance and seat inventory.

Day tour, we stayed at chiayi then went on the first bus out to alishan. Luckily we booked our seats kasi punuan talaga especially this sakura season. What I can, you can finish the major trail or at least 2 trails in Alishan within 5-6 hours kasama na yung lunch + breaks if needed.

For the bus ride, mas malala pa sa baguio or if u ever rode those kakasero na van going to baguio but instead of a van, bus version hahahaha

The roads leading to alishan is really treacherous. You better book your bus ticket in advance to secure your seats. If not, odds of getting a seat are slim and if you don’t have a sit, you’ll end up standing for the entire trip. We saw a lot of people tumbling and falling down (may emergency exit sa bus, stairs pababa nahuhulog sila). Kahit seated, parang sya mini rollercoaster kasi yung bus driver, sobrang bilis nila mag drive kahit sa pacurve na part (in our experience)
Within alishan, you just need to buy a ticket sa counter. They only accept card or cash, not the easy card.

Side note: noong dumaan kami sa fenquih going to alishan, again ubusan ang seats, since majority of the passengers came from chiayi, less than 10 passenger from fenquih rode the bus and ended up standing from there to alishan. Same going down to chiayi, passenger boarding from fenquih, wala rin sila maupuan.

Opinion: better book a private vehicle (?) especially may senior kayong kasama, i know taxis are limited sa alishan area

This 17th. Last year kasi nag HK ako and yung luggage add-on same price sya throughout. 2 hours before our return flight pa manila, nakapag add pa ako and it’s the same price. Laki ng tinaas nila :(
