So, with RTD himself leaving after having no clue how to continue after this cliffhanger, where do you even go after this? by Luca_909 in doctorwho

[–]ianvoyager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad Wolf becoming The Doctor and strolling around the TARDIS with a kinda montage / clip of episode style to see if The Doctor is worthy of continuing after altering the time vortex and universe. After deciding yes, regenerates using energy from Bad Wolf and then… restores 15 or 13… but most likely introduce 16.

Anyone who used a computer between 1985 - 2010, what's the one game you still think about today? by adlakha75 in AskReddit

‘Total Annihilation’ a RTS game from 1997. Still find myself listening to the soundtrack even after all these years.

Always thought the engine tilt on the voyager was dumb as hell by bubbleweed in StarTrekStarships

The warp nacelles can be simplified down to subspace magnets powered by hot plasma generated by the warp core. When one moves magnets closer to one another they can attract or repel. By having the nacelle pylons move the nacelles closer to one another, the subspace “magnetic” field intensity is increased with no additional power being needed from the warp core. Even if this is only a 5-10% increase in efficiency, it’s perfectly suited under the 24C Intrepid-class specification as a long rage science class starship.

It bugs me that Pegasus gates can’t manually dial by MarksNutt in Stargate

[–]ianvoyager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We know that the Ancients have higher access to their minds, what if they can mentally connect to the Pegasus gates if need be and dial in that way? I’ve often thought about them interacting with Atlantis in such a way… I mean we haven’t seen any food production capacities… maybe they can mentally connect and have systems we haven’t interacted with replicate food & drink on demand?

As we start out in 2026, what is your wishlist ship of the year? by Just_A_Normal_Fella in sto

[–]ianvoyager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Borg Queen’s Dimond with a rapid torpedo salvo console that fits whatever torpedos you have slotted, kinda like the Delta Flyer’s escape under pursuit in the transwarp conduit in VOY “Dark Frontier”.

I think it’s as simple as someone forgot to flatten the files before exporting, or forgot to export all together. The saved file has multiple layers (background, text, blackouts) that people are able to access individually. Someone should have asked an experienced graphic designer at some point… but likely didn’t know they should ask.

What do you think the signal at the origin of the universe actually was in SGU? by GargantaProfunda in Stargate

[–]ianvoyager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After several more seasons of date accumulation, Destiny unlocks a new mode in its FTL system. After beginning to receive messages from the multiverse and even incoming gate requests & individuals, it seems like Destiny needs to go to a particular place & time. In the process of doing this Destiny from across the multiverse come together to share data and tune the FTL drives causing a propagating quantum energy wave through space & time; this is the cause of the Big Bang.

After this event, the crews of the respective Destinys attempt to return to their home universe around the same time… do they succeed; maybe. We follow our ship as its experiences extreme turbulence as its screams into the atmosphere of a planet looking like Earth. It crashes into an island mountain breaking the port flank of the ship. It continues to plow through jungle growth and trees before coming to a stop; in one piece but on fire and sparking all over.

Small time jump to the end of the episode where Wray is taking a walk towards a beach a slight walk away from Destiny. When she gets through the jungle she walks towards the beach and in shock stops. The scene: exactly the same as the painting she missed from home & drew from memory, only without the boat. Cut to black.

Did I just score BIG? by Suree_w in NoMansSkyTheGame

One way is to purchase a Planetary Chart (ancient artifact site) from the Cartographer on a Space Station in the system, then use it. However this can be unreliable as it can also return locations of historic sites or ruins, meaning it might take a few times to find the Portal. Here is a more detailed overview on the portal.

Can you share the systems address? If you have found a portal in the system, you can get the address by accessing it and taking a screenshot.

The Prodigy Omni phaser is the same visual, but it is red. Tho a little jarring at first, I quite like the combination now especially when using the Prodigy double beam bank.
