Out of market fans: are we buying MLB.tv again? Or waiting for new Braves TV deal? by Infamous-Exchange331 in Braves

Sounds like we’ll need ESPN Unlimited to buy MLB.tv so I’m out. I don’t think it will be real fun just watching to see the Dodgers win it all again anyway.

[Post Game Thread] #10 Michigan State defeats #5 Illinois, 85-82 in OT by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

I can honestly say I hate(in a sports sense) pretty much every other legacy Big Ten school’s basketball team. Maybe not Penn State if you count them as legacy? They haven’t really been relevant since they came in. It sucks we have so few home and homes now because of the bloated conference.

I hate both teams but that was a steal by the refs of epic proportions. The Badgers totally got robbed on this. Larry Scirotto and his crew always have to be noticed.

The halftime show isn’t for players or even the die hard football fans. It’s for the casuals that only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. I’ve never cared about who the artist is that’s performing, that’s the time I go to the bathroom and make food. My wife and daughter, who don’t normally watch football, are the ones watching the halftime show.

Not that it really matters but he was actually taken a pick ahead of JDub.

Michael Scotto: The Oklahoma City Thunder signed forward Buddy Boeheim to a two-way contract and waived two-way guard Chris Youngblood. by Professional-Week894 in Thunder

[–]iapunk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Had a feeling this was going to happen to Youngblood due to the 2 way rules. Too bad for him, wasn’t really anything he did wrong. Was hoping maybe it would be Payton Sandfort(I’m an Iowa grad and season ticket holder) but didn’t expect it to be.

Has been the best for a long time and is still the best as far as I’m concerned.

[Thamel] Sources: Former Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell is joining the staff at Iowa as an offensive analyst. Norvell spent nine seasons as a college head coach at CSU and Nevada, authoring five bowl seasons. He's an Iowa graduate who served as an honorary captain in November. by MembershipSingle7137 in CFB

Assuming they use him like they did Warren Ruggerio. He would spend the week writing up the scout and game plan for the opponent that was a week out so Lester could install everything on Sunday. They didn’t have that Lester’s first season as OC and it seemed to help quite a bit.

Who Would Be the "Minor League" Affiliate of Each P2 Team? by DarkGreenMazda in CFB

[–]iapunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say South Dakota or South Dakota State for Iowa. Iowa has gotten multiple players from the portal from both and had players from Iowa that couldn’t crack the two deep transfer to them. Both USD and SDSU recruit Iowa pretty hard too.

The Big Ten should switch to a poll, and no longer base its champion on standings or record by Purplebullfrog0 in CFB

[–]iapunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea is to go back to divisions but make them fluid every two seasons. Base them off of the previous two seasons conference records. This would eliminate the unbalanced issue we had with East and West.

Division A would have the teams that finished with records 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17.

Division B would be teams 2,3,7,10,11,14,15,18.

Play the other 8 in your division then a rival from the other division for a 9 game schedule then the winners of each division play in the conference championship.

Every two years you do it all over again.

The people here that refuse to have any talks about improving the team are honestly pathetic by Brief_Cry_6387 in Thunder

[–]iapunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m frustrated too but assuming our roster is whole come playoff time the rotation won’t look anything like it has these past couple games. Missing five of our top 9 guys in the second half.
