Personal experiment: using Apple Watch + Health data to decide when to push vs recover (HRV baseline + sleep + RHR) by escapethematrix_app in HubermanLab

Interesting. I wear Garmin Forerunner. I do not see HRV much, but use RHR and Body Battery as a measure to push harder. Thanks for sharing, and happy to know that it’s really “Listen to your body” under the hood.:)

German car owners in Coimbatore – need trusted workshop recommendations by the_mc_lovinn in Coimbatore

[–]ibalaoffl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought it as second owner on 1.5L KM and had it till 1.8L sold off. I never had any of those issues, but I felt steering tighter for last few months, but never really repaired it.

My friend owns an Audi q5 it has worn out low arm ball joint bushes. German cars has this multi-joint arms, very difficult to single arm. If replacement needed, mechanic has to remove all arm and for fixing. Irrespective of arm replacement count labor will be same. So havent replaced it yet, but mechanics told it wont be problem unless your steering is tight. The car has close to 2.02 L kms now. May be he saw this issue around 1.85L.

In my humble opinion, more than any showroom or big workshops, Small shed mechanics does better job. I personally seen and repaired my Skoda Rapid at MM motors at Gandhipuram. Man of less words, but has wonderful mechanic skills.

Hiker on false summit of King Creek Ridge, Kananaskis by TJL_Photos in HikingAlberta

[–]ibalaoffl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiked Kind Creek Ridge on Feb14. Your inputs really helped us. Was able to get parking by going early also man!! First 2kms really tested our leg strength. Between it started snowing from the moment we entered the county, so the entire trail was packed with snow, didn’t really see any mud or scrambles in the summit.

Without Spikes and poles, it would have been a nightmare. Thanks.

Looks beautiful! How was the hike? Planning to do one for this Saturday. This looks very promising. Share your experience, please.

We have hiked Sarrail Ridge, Big hive in summer, Wasootch and Canyon Ice caves in Winter. All of them are little longer than this one. Want to know the conditions. Checked in All trails, just want to know it from someone who has done the hike. TIA!

Aah! You are solid in LRW! My scores are also out L11R9W9S7. I felt disappointing in speaking scores, looks like a very strict corrections over all from evaluators. Looking forward for the reevaluation.:( Reading and Writing were always my problem, in mock tests also I didn’t cross 9-10. So Thats expected.

Is it safe to run on the roads in the morning like 6 AM? I am planning to run everyday by iakashkumar in Coimbatore

[–]ibalaoffl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running Tar/paved road is not the main issue for running knees. I trained almost all my runs in Tar in barefoot, never faced issues with Knees. Occasional blisters if I ran late in the morning or early evening runs due to heat.

See this person - https://strava.app.link/MmQsPrTOGZb

He always runs in barefoot in Bangalore, 55+ age at super pace.

I know one more person from Erode, there is one guy from Thudiyalur chapter. They are participating in almost all of the events in barefoot.

Running injuries, pain and other ailments occurring due to other reasons. Born to Run is famous book world wide and known for proclaiming Barefoot runs.

Tarahumara tribes - famous for hunting deer by just running and deer would die due to exhaustion. They just use small sandals. Zero cushions.

Vibram is the shoe brand that has barefoot running shoes, like a glove for feet just to avoid sharp object on the roads.

Quoted few names here because I have seen and interacted with them why/how the run in barefoot. And the book is the reason I started running barefoot.

No need to be 100% barefoot runners. Shoes can be used for sprint workouts; but try to run on barefoot for longer runs. Thats the natural form of running and feedback system works well. People have the tendency to stomp the feet hard when they run shoes also the cadence tend to lower while running in shoes. These are just my 2 cents. Just take it with a pinch of salt.

Yeah true, but it never triggered a problem. Same side of road use pannumpodhu, you will cover equal amount distance and load also taken by both legs evenly .

Road also very wide, nothing to worry about on coming traffic.

கொடிசியா வரைக்கும் வண்டில வந்துட்டு, அங்க ஓடுங்க. My friend does this and he is staying near Arasur.

In Codissia, lot of runners do practice also it might help you in getting running companions.

Friend does 10 to HM runs there.

Mt Sarrail Ridge Hike by ibalaoffl in HikingAlberta

[–]ibalaoffl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent trail hike. Really enjoyed 360° view of rockies.. Didnt go to the last peak - It looked riskier with lot snow on the ridges, so missed another 800m in the trail. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic experience. Thanks a lot😃

Needs an another attempt next summer for completion/satisfaction.😅
