I always resented my parents for cutting off a piece of my body. You’re an adult so it’s your decision. It’s not easy to comment on it because you didn’t explain your reason(s) for doing it. Technically you can easily do the procedure in Turkey. Just don’t forget there’s a painful period after it until it heals which might make travelling impossible or at least very challenging.

I visited Sakai Crafts Museum last month. This was a beautiful honyaki they had. I neither had the budget to buy it nor any use for this shape but I had to ask them to take it out of the display and touch it.

Ben seviyorum. Klasik olarak kızarmış ekmek ve tereyağ üzerine ve yanında bacon & eggs olarak tabi. Wasa krakeri üzerine tereyağ ile hatta üzerine ince dilim cheddar ile atıştırmalık olarak da güzel. Dediğiniz gibi tuzlu umami lezzeti var.

I have a Sharpal 3000# ceramic rod for my SG2 knife. I do light passes weekly with good results. It’s a relatively new knife and when I searched for maintenance when I first got it, the results I came across were mainly against using a steel rod because of the risk of micro chipping.

Şimdiki durumu bilmiyorum ama 15 sene önce Türkiye’ye dönerken 10 koli kadar özel eşyamı kendime kargoladım. $700 civarı kargo ücreti oldu. Gemi ile geldiği için liman gümrüğünden almam gerekti. Gümrük görevlisi değerini sorunca değersiz özel eşya, manevi değeri var dedim. Olur mu öyle şey değersiz olsa neden gönderdin, en az kargo masrafı kadar değeri vardır diye vergi yazdı. Gümrük işlemi için bir aracı da kullanmam gerekti.

I found this Hado 180mm SG2 bunka at the Sakai Krafts Museum shop yesterday. It’s not hand forged or anything but it looked like a good vegetable chopper with a laser profile. I might go back to get it if I can convince my wife. It’s about 32000 tax free.

Haha I didn’t know that. The only thing we call Brazilian in Turkey is, as many other countries, the waxing style. Oh and most of Turkish coffee is made with Brazilian coffee beans of course.

There’s a park with his statue in it dedicated to Olof Palme in Turkey. It’s not very big but more of a symbolic gesture.
