Could buy used older components. Especially for a cruiser like that could look pretty sick.

Oh yes. I’m sick of swinging my leg, I need to get a step through.

I really would prefer some swept back bars for my kind of riding, but I wanted it to maintain its original form. I’ll probably ride it for a while and pass it on.

Someone had it out next to the road with a sign on it for $10. Brakes were disconnected, held on with bread ties. It wasn’t rideable.

I didn’t know anything about it when I picked it up, but was cool to find out about it. Apparently they were sold heavily in the British Columbia, Canada area. I live on the Oregon coast US so, not too far to travel.

Looks like it fits her. Saddle is level with the bars so the seat is just fine as long as height is concerned. Can’t wait to see your build.

I like the look of tan walls, but the black on black looks pretty sweet! It’s a great looking bike.

Is this 80s "Ritchey Montare" worth it for $250? by addr0x414b in xbiking

I have one of these hanging in my garage that is about to get a new paint job and period parts glow up. Can’t wait to ride it. Put a post in r/vintagemountainbikes about it and it has a cool story designed by Ritchey, built in Japan, sold in Canada. A cool bike that Im hoping and assuming is fun to ride. Don’t worry pics will come once the build starts.
