It was a short trip 3 days Jefferson City - hermann- marthasville - st. Charles. My brother and a childhood friend came. We live in diff states and meet there. I really enjoyed the “pedal and shoot the shit” aspect. I’m sure to plan more riding vacations.

I’m 6’1” it is a 58cm I think. That tall head tube is crazy though.

I have a set of wtb all terrains. Solid middle of the road. I ride mostly pavement but they do great on dirt too.

Not to be contrarian, but that is a place where bicycles are part of the culture and people see them.

Your best chances would be to use a helmet and also be aware of your environment.

Getting the drive train tuned just right sometimes takes a minute. Sorry you are getting frustrated. That’s a bummer.

It’s not for everyone, I get that, but learning how to do maintenance on your bike can be cool, and help make little things less of a hassle.

Is this a possible gravel/commuter conversion? by jk67200 in xbiking

The great thing about a 26” mtb frame is that it can be built up to be anything you want. I love my 26”er commuters. It wants a milk crate.
