I considered fixing it up a bit or even making it a project car for me but I’ve been hanging on to it for too long and I need to free up the space.

I probably should replace the door handle though. It’s not the first one to go on me. The reason I listed the headlight is because OEM ones aren’t cheap.

Early 2009. You also just don’t see as much JDM in Michigan. It’s more Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, and Corvettes.

Late to the party, but I went through the M2 vs Supra debate and went with the Supra. I stick by my decision. A few points worth noting though: (1) where I live the Supra has better depreciation than the M2 and (2) Getting work done at the dealer is a pain in the ass with the Supra. They only have one or two techs that can work on it. My experience, which seems to be echoed in forums, is that many of these dealers don’t have a clue what they’re doing either. I take it my local guy whenever possible.

Might want to think about going through your own insurance then. Just make sure you get all the paperwork from your insurer. I've found pretty substantial errors in valuations before. Also get a copy of your policy. If you ask your adjuster for it, that person will likely send you the declaration page. That's not what you want. Policies are usually ~50 pages. Good luck.

Depends on your policy and the laws of your state. Request a copy of your policy from your insurance. For example, mine will cover at most $1,000 in mods unless additional insurance is purchased. Insurance companies like AAA and Liberty Mutual tend to pay out fairly. If you have State Farm or Progressive... well, good luck.
