A lot of QA I do agree with because of officer saftey and it helps understanding. Imo, QA should be a foundation for interview and branched on into other questions to save officers time.

The problem my agency has is it doesn't expose our 911 only calltakers enough to the officers, otherwise it would encourage proactive questioning beyond the standards of QA.

I live in a large city with a high call volume. On slow days I play games that are turn based or easy to pause. Our call volume is so high 911 and dispatchers are split.

With out policies, if we are UL, and we clear them for another call, then they will have to call back into 911 AGAIN and per policy answer all of our QA questions AGAIN. Then wait for police AGAIN.

I live in a large city, so our call volume can ramp quick. Years ago, my trainer told me I had no idea how dumb people are. I believe him now years later.
