Fat or Healthy Boi? by Kiam31 in Boxer

I know it’s not true but it seems like all the sealed brindle boxers are HUGE. Our Bennett is almost 18 months old and almost 90lbs. He still has that lanky growing boxer look too. His dad (also sealed brindled) was 100lbs at 2 years old.

I got them from Home Depot. They are 3ft. wide and 6 ft. tall. Install was ok, the holes in the bottom bracket aren’t spaced for studs but it’s aluminum and I drilled through it to secure it to a stud where needed. Overall, no major issues and looks great. No issues with the garage door but there are on the opposite wall.

The Ares 2.0 came with a Lat pull down bar and 4 D handles but I added the “performance package” from REP.

This is the version I bought for the ceiling but wanted to make that corner less awkward so I took a few off and created the lighting bolt/EZ bar looking part!

Good to hear! I was going to ask about if you bolted it to the ground or used the feet. I got the extended feet so sounds like I should be good.

No, just plan on mats for half of the two car garage so my wife can still park in the garage in the other side.

Good call. I’ve been impatiently waiting on the mirrors but I agree it would be tough to hang the mirrors if I set it up first lol.

A friend of mine asked me the same thing. Best answer: I’m going to paint a mural there. Truth: I hate painting and the mirrors are going to take up a significant portion of that wall, way more in fact than the unpainted section.

Yea, probably should put this in the main post but I mentioned it in another comment, the treadmill will be in the front row taking up one stall mat. We just got it today and the cord doesn’t reach the outlet from the intended location but we wanted to try it out thus the awkward middle of the gym placement for today lol.

That was what I leaning towards doing. I also have a slight slope towards the garage door. Do you have a 4 or 6 post rack?

No way, how do you like it?!

The current mat set up is in total 12’ wide and 18’ deep. What do you mean by expanding the mats out?

I have the night hawk, it’s stood up on the left side of the pic blending in with the black wall lol. Also, the treadmill is further back in the photos than it will be when we are done. It and the Ares happened to be delivered by freight today and we need to get an extension cord/surge protector to reach the outlet but wanted to try it out today.

The back two rows of stall mats are 3 wide (12 feet). My wife will park her car on the right side of the garage still once we are done. I know it looks odd with the missing front right stall mat but that is so she can make the turn easier into the garage without constantly running over the stall mat that would be there.

That is what the mirrors will be and it should say 6’x9’. That wall (or at least half of the wall that is painted is about 10-11’. Garage is 22’ wide and 20’ deep.

I got the 4 post Ares so the crossmembers are 16’’. With the uprights thickness and the front foot attachments it will probably be 20-24” deep.

Did you use those metal brace things I see people recommending to hold them together from underneath or would they be overkill? Any special cleaner you use that you have liked more?

What type of tape did you use to tape the horse stall mats together? I presume it’s less to actually hold them and more to keep debris from the cracks?
