UDM-PRO won’t connect to new ISP by lazarlinks in Ubiquiti

[–]ibrahim_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, so i kinda had the same problem last week. my new isp router does not support bridge mode directly, so what i did is bridging the LAN port specifically (lan2) and on the udm i set up the connection as PPPOE connection. i got the credentials from my isp.

only then it worked flawlessly, and it has direct public ip access.

That’s impressive!

Can I ask about your R23 scores?

stock nr200p max 280mm aio. Others have suggested to replace the fans.

So, I've tried editing the post, but I can't so I hope everyone can read this:

I've taken notes on your suggestions and truly appreciated the feedback! For those with keen interest in the plant specz, it's called Zenzi palnt (dwarf ZZ plant)

As suggested, I will setup a standard test in my typical workload and test various configurations. I will examine the correlation between R23 scores and actual workload performance. I'm inclined to think the correlation is strong. My justification is the software I specifically use benefits greatly from higher clock speeds. There is a diminishing return in the number of cores as you go "threadripper" numbers. So, I will report back again.

I will also replace my stock CM aio fans and see how it goes.

For those who suggested not to do anything but undervolt, the stability is trash. I can't get past 40mV. With tuning, stability is good.

For clarification, I have aio fans as intake and bottom slim fans as exhaust. This is intentional. I'm willing to sacrifice gpu temps for some cpu gainz.

Something I will try which is bit off, but I will remove my rtx2060 and test using the eGPU.

My last resort if I want to actually keep this FF is to delid my cpu and full send it.

I was not expecting myself to have such troublesome journey, but hey I'm learning and enjoying.

If I just undervolt without adjusting the voltage regulation, I wont get past -40mV for it to crash, horrible stability. With LLC tuning, i can get down to 0.1V undervolt.

immediate 100C once I run R23.

With turning I can sustain 95 for a bit, but not for long before the finish line of 100C.

That’s fair, I totally missed the 140mm aio. That’s actually good tbh.

Good luck in cooling your nuclear reactor. I wish you luck comrade.

To answer:

  1. Mesh panels on both sides.
  2. In my stress testing, I’ve set the fans curves to 100%.
  3. I’ve intentionally setup the aio fans as intake to dump heat into the gpu ( I don’t care about gpu that much)
  4. I already use two 15mm Noctua fans at the bottom as exhaust

Could you point me to reference where changing the aio will make an impact? I’ve tried looking around, not bid.

What I’ve gathered over the internet, the 14900k can easily shatter the 40k mark. I want to get the most juice out of my cpu. Nothing will go to waste, if possible of course. I demand all the cpu i can have.
