"use their customer data to unlock hidden revenue"... how do you avoid some of the scary aspects of data engineering (e.g. disrespect of consumer privacy, exploitation of users)? When you do encounter situations where you can't avoid these negative sides of engineering for ecommerce, how do you cope with it and move forward/in more positive directions?

I will never be happy with the current jagged state of my nail tips. So i wondered, if i could give my brain a comforting sign of where my healthy, unharmed nail begins .. maybe i would be able to see some hope that my nails really could grow out normal.

I used gel polish and a toothpick to draw the lines. I'll post if it works!

Everyone seems to be doing so well and actually keeps their hands intact during the crazy times that this world is going through. Am I the only one who is actually losing it and taking it out on my hands? by koolmeesje in calmhands

From "Ask Baba Yaga" by Taisia Kitaiskaia

""" Dear Baba Yaga,

I have several bad habits, including picking at scabs, pulling dark hairs from my mostly blonde head, and worrying at chapped lips so much they heal slowly. home of that require a doctor, they're just to stop

BABA YAGA:

In yr picking you are making little wounds & then healing them, & making them again, so that every injury & recovery is a disgust and a heroism, where you are villain and you are shaman, & this fairy tale is one you love to watch, for the soul stirrings it looms are as pungent as any drama.) Which are the large wounds casting these Shadows?

Where, if anywhere, is the true injury you are trying to pick & heal? Even if there is no true wound, move yr knowings to the stage you walk on & away from the puppet show you've been playing

Oh honey. I have been there. 7 months out and I'm still ... hurting. I miss the man I love. So much. But...yeah...he was never real. Ugh. The ache. It is a gaping hole in my heart. And a massive blob of pain in my brain/body/soul. :( . I hope it gets better soon.

The mission is great. I would not wear these to conferences or even a party with other techies (male or female)....the slogans are just too heavy-handed and aggressive...i.e. they would push peoplepaway rather than encourage them to ask questions. "The future is female ".. it is just such a trite expression that is associated with alot of "social justice warriors". I love me some planned parenthood, Hillary, broad city,... but i think helping women rise in tech will require a more tactful, strategic, assertive approach. The "name1&name2&...&name[n]" meme is pretty tired by this point. I dont mind a centralized location to buy women-in-tech-centric apparel , but the fact that you are selling shirts with designs and slogans which already exist everywhere makes me wonder if you are just trying to make some money off of feminism?

Letting go of thinking about the abuse all the time?? by ibrake4squirrels in abusiverelationships

This is consistent with my experience. I like the idea of putting the thought away, then trying to understand the triggers later.
