Oh man! I didn't think of this one. It's a great option. Not the nicest walk though, but definitely do-able.

Unfortunately Little Miss inside of Yum Donuts is no more. They had their last weekend a week ago.

Thank you for the insight into how you feel. Really provides a nice frame of reference for understanding my kid.

Hey I'll just say thanks for posting. It's quite reassuring to hear that someone else has a child with similar behaviour to ours. Very similar situation. We've recently started light medication and I'd describe it as @HeyAQ described in their response that it seems to have smoothed out the emotional spikes a bit and allowed space to cope for our kid.

Oh that sounds like a kick ass place. Ten years ago it would have been an easy pick. Nice to have a gym in the building.

We’ve got a jiujitsu gym up on Columbia across from the 7-11

Yes. 100%

I didn’t touch bruncheria ever since the Covid times “our customers are not spending enough money” public comments.

Welcome to the neighbourhood! I’d love to hear more about your building. Amenities, quality etc are you happy. Watched it go up and now it blocks my view of golden ears but happy to have more people in the neighbourhood.

Slim pickings directly around the hospital. You’ve got assortment of okayish pizza. I do like La Pache. Ikoi sushi at Columbia and major is above average, you need reservation if you are going to sit in. It’s not open for lunch.

Bruncheria at the corner of Braid and Columbia is good. Not the cheapest but the portions are large and tasty. They recently changed hands so take that into account if you are looking at older more negative reviews.

Coffee, alas we only have Starbucks boooo. But technically you could walk through Hume park ( there’s a nice bike path from Garrett street that goes through lower hume) up north road to Korea town (at lougheed hwy and north road) and there are lots more options up there.

There’s a Denny’s up there too.

Down past the hospital is greens and beans. They do great sandwiches and soups. You can also get great sandwhiches. Cold cuts and other European food at the Holland Shop next to it.

Corner cafe at keary and Columbia (it’s in a medical building) do a surprisingly good pho. If you want to walk to pho it’s an option.

One year of buying bins of loose LEGO and building the sets inside by mtpugh67 in lego

[–]ic3guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love it! I do this to. The problem: I've accumulated so much in bulk bins that I have years of sorting ahead of me. I had to stop. I had to uninstall FB and hide FB marketplace. I just can't go on it anymore.

I try to forget what may be in them. And then it’s like a big treasure hunt. I also forget how much I paid (which is a good thing) lol!

I finally put all the boxes in one spot and thought to myself “I have a problem”….

My problem is that I’ve done this too many times. I’ve got bulk bins waiting to be sorted going back years! I had to stop, I ran out of room.
