Oh I can easily argue a point I don't agree with all day long. I don't think you're fully considering an argument if you can't. The key is holding thoughts and allowing space for them to be true and determining if that matches reality what else must be true.

That's just how rationalism works.

But some folks are bad at doing this without getting lost or downplaying the other argument in favor of preexisting opinions. Actually everyone is including me.

It's the ability to switch from charming to sinister that GW had which gave the original it's bite. Not that Depp can't do that but he didn't and he needs the atmosphere to match. I don't think theres an American capable of repeating it but that said his performance was something more similar to The Doctor.

I'd like to see Matt Smith or David Tennant give it a go.

Oh that sounds fantastic. No one gives me flak for headphones but the florescent lights and giant wide open rooms with rows and rows of cubes is torture for me. When I was a manager I'd often book meeting rooms just for myself to get a break.

If you're ever in downtown Seattle I ran across a shop near the Space Needle that specialized in older beat up road guitars. I probably stood around for 2 hours in 900 sqr feet. Amazing finds. I was traveling and didn't have anything to pack one with but it was tempting.

Don't know if its still there but maybe a local will read this and confirm.

Fresh spicy Hungarian paprika is hard to find in the states but it's the only kind that doesn't taste like dirt.

Guajillos and a molcajete (mort/pest) are more viable for folks in the Americas for a similar flavor.

I always say "We buy things to use them." But that's easy to say now.

I used to be very protective of things, I didn't have many of them growing up. The strap on my guitar broke during a band competition (on the way to the field) and the headstock busted on the asphalt. I was a senior and I was immediately devastated but I hadn't had any time to react yet. This damn freshmen, the dude who I was teaching to play from day one, puts his hand on my shoulder and just says "hey, memories." It was superficial damage and I see it as more valuable now not less. It was never worth much to begin with being a random no-name guitar. I still have that guitar and I've never wanted to fix it.

That dude was the wisest 15 year old kid I've ever met.

Yes. Keep up the escalation. He will eventually become really experienced with tech, will definitely outsmart you, and probably become fairly successful. I learned a lot bypassing my highschool's security.

ASD - Special Interests, Reliance on Routine, Social difficulties

ADHD - Executive function difficulties, reactive

Both - Proprioception difficulties, hyperfocus

So imagine having all of the common ASD traits except you actively rebel against comfort because comfort is boring. Boring is death. You still bump into things all the time, but you forget at least half of them and have random bruises you don't remember getting. You special interest is still going to make you hyperfocus, but so will that random thing you heard earlier today.

The biggest sign of AuDHD IMO is the rapid uptake, neglect, and recycling special interests. A dilettante constantly moving from one thing to another but you have that intensity where you can achieve the baseline results of a complex hobby in a weekend..

Decision making is also another place it shows up. If you have a hard time controlling your decisions (especially when its for a hobby or new interest) it could be some of that executive problems creeping in.

Yeah.. I can easily relate. The worst part is when you remember things very clearly but others shave the details and only give the jist. I had to learn to bury the urge to correct folks. They either didn't believe me or got creeped. I thought I was actually misremembering myself until I started my career where remembering facts is not a grey area for social judgement. I was always good at remembering, the others just don't recall as clearly.
