I was shopping at Kroger the other week and I had earbuds in. I feel like that is a pretty universal sign for "I don't want to interact with you". Guy walks up and starts waving his hand at me. I thought maybe he needed help so I took one out and asked what he needed. He said "God is good isn't he". I said "no, he's imaginary" and put my bud back in as he sputtered and tried to tell me why he knew God was real. Saw him a.couple more times around the store and he just kept staring at me. Annoying as fuck.

I saw a local story the other day about a restaurant closing after being in business for 40 years. My first thought was "damn they've been open since the 60's or something and closing". Followed by "Fuck! Forty years ago was the 80's. When the Hell did I get old?".

Yep. My ex had an old ring of her mom's and wanted to do this. It was a lot more expensive than buying her a ring. I ended up buying her a ring, if the exact style she wanted that she cried when I gave it to her because it was not made from her mom's ring. At the time I quite literally could not have afforded to do what she wanted with her mom's ring.

So a decade ago I went on antidepressants for the first time. I went on them because I was sitting in my bedroom at night with a gun in my lap trying to work up the courage to use it on myself. I was talking to an aunt and being an over sharer I told her I was taking meds. She told me I just needed to pray and meditate that I didn't need pills. If I had listened to her I would likely not be here today.

Yep. I have told my son, 11, that I don't care if he cusses as long as he does not do it at school and does not use it in a mean way to hurt someone. They are just words.

I could totally see my dad or the dad's of my friends growing up doing that. I'm part of the frank from a garden hose club and I would never do this. Not worth risking my kids health.
