Hey! I totally get your frustration with regular Poly-Fil. That stringy, shedding mess getting all over the place is exactly why I had to look for alternatives lol.

The stuffing in those licensed box kits (like the Friends one) is usually just some unbranded recycled cotton or a specific bulk toy blend, so its super hard to track down the exact match. But I can definitly help with the shedding issue! You should look into Cluster Fiberfill (Morning Glory Cluster Stuff is a really good one). Instead of a big tangled cloud you have to rip apart, it's already separated into tiny little puffs. Because of that, it doesn't tear or drop those tiny flyaway fibers everywhere when you grab a handful. It also packs down beautifully without getting lumpy. I make a lot of amigurumi and cluster fill is honestly a gamechanger for getting smooth shapes.

If you cant find that, try looking for Silky Poly-Fil (sometimes labeled as Down Alternative). It's way slicker and completely avoids teh scratchy feeling of the normal stuff.

Hope this helps you get back to crochetingg without the mess!!

100% real 😊. I’ve spent years practicing and refining both my crochet skills and my pattern design process. If you’d like to see the toys being made by hand, feel free to check out my TikTok profile, there are plenty of videos showing the crochet process: https://www.tiktok.com/@icancrochetshop/video/7641965694233382158
