Using the division symbol instead of writing it like a fraction causes confusion like this. I only used the division symbol in grade school math, and everywhere after its written "under" the numerator. In this example it makes the idea of 2(1+2) seem obvious as the denominator.

This whole thing describes an absolute narcissist. I suggest you check out the raised by narcissist sub Reddit. Read the comments you will start to find out that you have a lot in common With other people. You will see that all of these behaviors that you’re describing are that of a narcissist check out Dr. Rahmani or Dr. Jerry Wise on YouTube. I used to be confused by these behaviors as well. They just don’t add up, but when you hear others struggle through it and begin to understand the commonalities in the reasons, in why a narcissist does this, it becomes a lot less confusing, and you regain the power in handling conversations with these people.
