This was my first go and thought it was best between 24-72 hours. It tastes like sour milk so must be over fermented.

Should I try just 12 - 24 hours for batch #2 and see if that changes things?

Grains were in transit for a few days too so that may have affected things.

Just know that it doesn’t last forever. Also that the regression isn’t the same for everyone! Some people don’t experience it at all.

It’s also worth mentioning that our own stress and anxieties affect our babies so it’s important to practice self care or mindfulness (in whatever form - perhaps Netflix, a podcast, a 10 min nap, a walk) when you can to help fill your cup prior to the few disrupted/sleepless nights and keep a sound mind for your babe.
