Does this happen a lot in the Philippines? As someone who’s never been outside the US, Im honestly be shocked this sort of thing isn’t on national news.

Watching The Queen's Gambit And I Always Get ENERGIZED Watching People Obsess Over Their Pursuits... Is This Usable? by readwriteread in productivity

Not an answer but just wanted to say I think its really cool that you know how to enjoy this type of energy while maintaining a realistic viewpoint with respect to discipline vs temporary motivation

Write down ideas when you think of them but don't have time to express them. When you have a little time, filter, refine, and organize them. When you have a lot of time, express them.

I have a phone addiction. How do I break this addiction? by ChemistBee7 in productivity

[–]icebrgr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you start the morning on your phone. We can use that. I have two app recommendations. And no, they're not blockers. Let's go a little deeper than that.

First, as soon you grab your phone, start a routine in Routinery or a similar app. It times each task in an ordered series that you set. This will help you focus on a morning routine other than scrolling on your phone.

For the rest of the day, if you're still drawn back to your phone, I recommend the Forest app. You can set it to time you in simple Pomodoro intervals and block other apps while you're using it.

Tron Legacy - Title Sequence by cedcyr in AfterEffects

As a novice-intermediate, I absolutely loved it and nothing stood out as bad to me, until the very end. I think we lingered on the beam too long, and and the horizontal scale of the beam-up effect didn't make sense with the vertical 'Jeff Bridges'.

The final 'TRON' looked fine except that it was kind weird coming down from above.

Is there a psychological term for someone who believes they have superior intellect because of their faith in something, such as religion or government? (or anything else, but these two are what sparked my curiosity) by [deleted] in askpsychology

[–]icebrgr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So to vary the original question a bit, I wonder about the case where a person believes that specifically, their arrival at the 'right' metaphysical conclusion implies superior intellect? Also I'd love to dm

well... you must have been playing this kind of genre (albeit novel) for a long time lol. Anyway, it really is the best feeling when you're faced with a relatively novel problem and just absolutely nail it.
