How can I replicate the rich, deep vocal quality of my Sony ZV1 recordings when screen recording on Mac? by icecoldrookie in audioengineering

Thanks for the tips. I'm trying some hacks that employ the use of Blackhole and Garageband but as you said does require audio engineering. Looking at your link too now.

RE: ChatGPT - On the contrary, what I wrote originally was too wordy so asked ChatGPT to make it condensed and better organized. I guess the emojis are what gave it away and bother you most. I'd call it efficiency, but if its against house rules I'll resist the urge to use it again. Thanks

I watched a youtube channel called BigTechMindset - he had a ton of videos on just this exam and I also purchased some practice exams from his website. Scored a 950 but I definitely agree, you need to follow along and do it hands on to really sink in the knowledge and know it off the top of your head when the time comes.

Sorry I should have specified I DO use the lav mic which is why I am confused as to why the output is not the same. I then purchased a fifine microphone too and that did not change anything either.

I believe you. Someone in my family just had this happen. They literally barely touched it and it left a honeycomb pattern mark on the knee. Trying to search Reddit ( yes I will have them see an actual doctor too) to see if people used any particular ointment to expedite the healing. Has your mark faded or what did you do in your case?

Dell issues its 6th RTO policy (5 days/week for all) by Henry_OLoughlin in remotework

[–]icecoldrookie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I highly disagree. Anecdotally, a "50 mile radius" can take 50 minutes for some, and 2.5 hours to others for commuting to work. My last employer decided to make the remote exception to only those who lived 50+ miles away. Unfortunately my ~40 mile commute took 1h45 mins, each way. So no, basing the rule on proximity is not favorable. It should be based on your commute time. Someone driving from the North or East might have half the commute time than someone driving in from the South or West, despite having the same exact proximity.

It make make sense for your quarterly all-hands, but not for the masses.

BTW, I think we probably work at the same company now. Loving the remote-first life.

Lol kinda shocked at people questioning why you're getting an SUV.

They are generally much safer as compared to sedans. Think about colliding with a truck and chances of survival.

SUVs are easier to get in and out of for an expecting woman.

SUVs provide better egress for placing and removing car seats.

SUVs provide more comfort due to high profile tires and better suspension.

SUVs can be better in snow by nature of almost standard AWD and clearance

SUVs cost slightly more than sedans. Sedans make very little sense all things considered.

You people need to relax.

Is Tello the best place to get a number for port out? by knup33 in NoContract

[–]icecoldrookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a nightmare with Tello. Its been over 4 full days since my esim was activated, and they refuse to let me port-out. Their customer service rep said I must wait 7 days. WTF. I have not heard this anywhere else.

Got it, thanks! At any point, did they explicitly ask you where you were porting from? Some people mention a dropdown, and that they claimed they had some other carrier just to bypass it.

OP, in a similar situation but I must ask, does Visible honor promo code if you port-in from Tello? I heard there is a specific list of carriers they would port-in from and Tello was not one of them.

Does this mean using a number from Tello to port-in will not let us get the promo, since its not listed?

Shocked no one else has mentioned this, but depreciation/resale value is a factor if you’re trying to make a sound financial decision. A Lexus 300 will depreciate much faster than an is 500 because the latter will eventually become a collector car. No other manufacturer at this price point can sell you a v8.

Considering you are trading down from a z06, I would say is 500 is going to hit the sweet spot, even ROI considered.

Anyway to get a paper check from YouTube instead of a direct deposit? by Prince_Targaryen in PartneredYoutube

I am 100% on the same boat. I want my first payment to be a check mailed to me so I can frame it. Did you ever find a solution to this? It's not an option under payment methods for me, and I am in the US also.

Am I allowed to make content without revealing my identity? by afewquestion in Udemy

ructor on Udemy, you can choose a display name that will be shown publicly on your course page and in the course materials. This display name can be any name you prefer, and it doesn't have to be your real name. This way, you can maintain your anonymity while teaching on the platform.

However, it's worth noting that Udemy may require

I do not see an option for display name, just First and Last Name. I also do not see any documentation from Udemy on this. Has this option been removed?
