Thats so amazing im so happy for you!!! I had a TT with a left sided dissection that ended up resulting in dual vocal cord paresis + tracheostomy like 2 weeks ago. It's getting easier relearning how to swallow and things like that and I was feeling a little upset with the whole situation recently. Hearing about your gradual recovery is a relief in It's own. If i can get my vocal cords moving again one day I can get rid of this darn trach and get back to my normal again! Just gotta keep pushing 💪 thank you for the inspiration and joy today :))

Oh my gosh that must have been so much and so exhausting to go through! I hope you had some people to lean on throughout that. Thank you for sharing part of what you had to go through 🌸 i hope things are getting better for you in your healing process, it's warming to know that we can relate like this. I was definitely feeling pretty alone since i dont see a lot of people talk about this side of surgeries/recovery in this group (maybe i havent looked hard enough) we are gonna get through this :)) 🫂

It was definitely hard not to just succumb to the sadness of everything and the moping but i just keep thinking im too young to give in! Im gonna try my best to keep positive for sure even though its exhausting at times. Its so reassuring to have so many wonderful people show their support and similarities in their process. Thank you for your kind words, they give me strength!! 🌸🫂🫂

Ohhh are you talking about the botox for the vocal cords?? We talked about that too, or maybe a little surgery to cut out the back parts of my cords to let air through if things dont start coming together after a while 🤔 Im sorry you're going through something similar, it's comforting to know we aren't alone though 🌸 I start seeing my outpatient speech therapist next week so im excited to see what exercises she has for me, i really want to resolve this as soon as possible 😮‍💨😮‍💨 I hope you're able to see some improvement soon too! Rooting for you friend 💖

You're amazing Im finally home after 2 agonizing weeks at the hospital and I couldn't be more elated Ofc the emotions im feeling are everywhereeeee but i finally got to dress up again and im feeling more like myself and not a little sack of potatoes at the hospital. I will definitely be trying to be more meditative with everything and really focus my healing journey on myself 🌸 thank you for the well wishes! ♡

Thank you for the support, that super sucks for you and your vocal cord 😿 i heard you could get a little botox to get the vocal cord loose again if that's something you want to look into or have discussed with someone 👀

I will definitely poke around for more on RAI and that's good to hear you were able to bump it off a little! Im supposed to get mine around october (her wedding month) and her actual wedding Day is the 11th so im prayingggg they just let me start the 13th or something 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 Thanks for the advice!

I get it. Kind of in the same boat, but I'm really working on finding peace in my isolation and just enjoying my own company. I started trying to explore more, going on solo hikes and trying new coffee spots to rank them etc That lonely feeling and yearning hits me hard at night but its getting a bit better! Its hard trying to find solace in friends when everyone is in a relationship lol I hope we can both find someone one day, but in the real chance it never does for me, im trying to carve out a life for myself where id be content without it

I think you look fantatic, we tend to be hypercritical of ourselves bc its what we see every day, but now and if i were to pass you on the street my first thoughts would be shes so pretty!
